Very dog friendly cafe. Caters well for gluten free and happy to explore dairy free options. The scrambled egg with smoked salmon on Turkish bread my partner said was excellent..but containdairy. My oaxhed eggs with mushrooms cooked dairy free on gluten free toast was also excellent. The coffee strong and hot.
A perfect spot with a warm vibe and quick service, it's definitely worth a visit while traveling through Taree!

Negatives: ridiculously overpriced. $5 surcharge for gluten free bread. $9.90 thickshake made with blended ice served in a small glass cup.

Passed through Taree recently & stopped here for brunch after a google search for cafes with GF (gluten free) options.
Metro Diner did not disapoint! Great service, funky decor & very tasty food with lots of allergen friendly options 🙂
Especially the strawberry smoothie as recommended by the owner!
First time there. Ordered the vegetarian burger on gluten free bun. Really loved it..was not too heavy, & tasted very natural & yummy. Came in a nice recyclable carton. Staff were efficient & friendly. I’ll be back! 🙋🏼♀️
Great cafe with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. I was surprised at the assortment of homemade treats available including gluten free options. Nice coffee.
