Victor Rose has saved me from bad coffee since I moved to Montreal. Flat whites are my favorite thing there and the place and people there is a VIBE.
BUT…. my boyfriend is Celiac and I know this things have good intentions but with someone allergic to gluten is not nice having them around. Cross contamination is a serious thing and even if you guys want to keep giving them instead of making more trash, you should be aware that having them next to the lids is not a good idea. He loves this place like me and he is too sweet to complain about it. I hope you guys can help with it cuz we don’t want to miss this good coffee 😭
Beautiful atmosphere, good food, however the waitress misled us by telling us that the sarazin crepe meal was gluten-free. My celiac partner had it repeated twice so she chose this meal. Unfortunately she had very serious indigestion. The restaurant did not respond to our phone calls nor did the head office respond to our email. It is for this reason only that I leave one star. I don't think the staff are aware of the seriousness of this intolerance.
I really like this place. Staff is always super nice. Lovely, warm atmosphere. They use real dishes instead of environmental hazards like styrofoam. I notice their wraps contain less hard to chew carrots.than previously. Which is nice. Will have to give the soup a try again. I wholeheartedly love this place. Gluten free something would be so appreciated.

I just had the most awful, disrespectful and rude experience with one of the waitresses at this location. My friend and I ordered 2 appetizers (tater tots, and one pretzel), as my meal I ordered the Classic burger, and requested a gluten free bun as I am gluten intolerant. Gluten intolerant means that I can only handle certain and very limited amounts of gluten or I get violently ill.
Upon receiving my bill I had questioned the waitress why I was not charged for the gluten free bun and she went silent. I then proceeded to ask if the bun was in fact gluten free and to my surprise she replied with a snarky "well it was whatever you ordered". I then began to describe the bun to her and she insisted that both buns looked similar and had a yellowish tint to them. I explained very calmly to her that its a good thing this isn't an allergy that could kill me but that I would experience stomach pain as it in as intolerance. She insisted that I should've noticed that it wasn't a gluten free bun prior to eating it and wouldn't even bring out examples to show me the difference.
Despite this issue, I still tipped her 10%, which I would've gladly given her more had she gotten the order correct.
After leaving, my friend insisted that we should not of been treated like that and decided to go back in to explain that this is not how you treat paying customers and for future to be more careful. However, this is when things got worse, instead of taking responsibility and apologizing, this waitress got very defensive. She insisted that it was my fault and I should've known it wasn't gluten free. She decided to throw even more shade at us by claiming that it didn't make sense that I wanted a gluten free bun if I had ordered a pretzel which contains gluten. Not that it is any of the staffs business, how much gluten I can eat but when this argument was used my friend continued to explain that I can tolerate certain amounts of gluten which is why we shared the pretzel. The waitress continued to argue that it was rude of me to tip so low, however the tip should've 0$ since she messed up on something that will affect my health. On top of these comments and arguments that this waitress was making, another male employee decided to chime into the conversation asking if I had hypoglycaemia and if that's the reason I couldn't eat gluten while laughing and making fun of me.
Customer service is clearly non-existent here and this situation could've been handled many other professional ways. This is not the way that paying customers should be treated. We have eaten here before and enjoyed it. We had no bad intentions, all we wanted was for the staff to be more careful in the future however, we will never be going back here and we do not advice anyone with allergies or restrictions to go here either because they are extremely careless and rude.
A true gem, this place is unassuming but very much worth the visit. The food is high qaulity, fresh and made to order. The menu has a variety of dishes suitable for a variety of diets ( gluten free / vegetarian) etc. The food is health focused and is not overly greasy or filled with fat / salt. If you're looking for REAL fresh food, this is the place to go. I got the blueberry smoothie which is made with berry, bananas, water and ice. It was very tasty and did contain any of that fake smoothie syrup . I made a special request and ordered avocado toast. The chef was more than happy to accommodate and I was reasonably charged for my custom order. I also got the museli granola parfait which comes with a variety of fresh fruits and generous servings of granola and low fat, no sugar added yogurt. The place also offers fresh baked goods and breads which are made on site. Again these are made with a health focused mindset.
The decor and atmosphere isn't much to look write home about but it's easy to ignore when the food is so fresh and high qaulity .
If your passing by via the highway it's worth the pull off and it's not to far off the highway.
Will be suggesting this place to all my friends. Reasonable prices too.
Excellent evening with friends. We have eaten well. The menu had it all, including gluten-free choices. And we were well advised by our very friendly waiter Moreno, who made excellent suggestions.
Good food! Service was good, The server forgot to mention that the gluten free bun was 3$extra so got a surprise when I got the bill! Ambiance was okay
