Amazing staff Amazing food children happy as with the play area and super helpful when it came to a gluten free menu five star all the way... W
ill be back soon 😁😁😁
Looked lovely but wouldn't recommend for people with food allergies. No clear allergen labelling on menu and neither waiting staff or kitchen seemed to understand about food allergies. I have celiac so I would have settled for a coffee but I was reassured omelette and chips (which was delicious) was gluten free. However, half way through eating told chips had been cooked in same oil as pastries and waiting staff offered to take them away. I'm now very unwell and will be for some time.
The big breakfast is definitely worth a try, and the value is great. It's £10.95 and worth every penny. Comes with toast and tea or coffee. (Unfortunately, i didn't get a picture as I tucked straight in). The small breakfast looked good, too. Both were fresh, hot, and cooked perfectly. Service was with a smile and very friendly. There is a big selection of cakes, pastries and different types of hot and cold drinks. (See attached pictures). I will certainly be going again. Wye is a beautiful little village, so going to the coffee shop whilst visiting made the day. There is a variety of gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options to suit all. Kids are very welcome and a great selection for them, too.
Staff on the whole, very friendly and helpful. Small mix up with kids food but was very swiftly rectified and didn’t impact our visit. Only really mentioning as a positive because it was dealt with so promptly that my 8yo didn’t even notice. Food was also extremely tasty.
Our waitress was really lovely and efficient and great at building a rapport even with the kids. Handled my kids menu adjustments and wife’s gluten allergy with easy, confidence and understanding.
Really nice visit, thank you!
I attended Rose and Crown for the first time for my birthday. I'd never been before but Google searches suggested it was a good place for gluten free food. The pub itself is nestled away in a small village location. The restaurant was clean and although a little cramped it wasn't a problem at all. The food was incredible, all round delicious and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. The staff however, they were a league above. The service, the friendly nature, the willingness to help and make the evening as enjoyable and special as possible was very refreshing and something that I don't often get to experience anymore at restaurants. I came away thinking what a great place and not just because the food was delicious but because I felt like the staff were actually happy and cared. I don't know the ladies' names who served us but hats off to them! Compliments all round. I will certainly remember this restaurant and pub for future meals. Thank you Rose and Crown! One point to note which is useful for others we spent approximately £200 for 5 people but I didn't once think it wasn't worth it.
My absolute favourite place to get a breakfast!!! The MASSIVE menu is enough for anyone to eat here! A generous selection of Gluten Free too :) I love the people who work here very friendly and attentive! The chef is amazing, he really is. Thanks for all the delicious food and memorable experiences. I will continue to use this place and keep recommending:)
Great food and service with a variety of veggie, vegan and gluten free options. Always friendly and not too expensive despite the current rise in cost of living. Would 100% recommend.
The food was very good. The bass was a very small portion but tasted good. The pizza's were very good, including the gluten-free one. The service was good to start with, but our table wasn't cleared for a very long time. We eventually asked for someone to clear it. He cleared the dessert bowls, but nothing else. We couldn't get the attention of the waitress, and had to keep going to ask for service
