Waiting staff were pleasant. Good job they were taking food orders via app although had to order at the bar for vegan/ gluten free option which was an inconvenience given the lack of staff serving at the bar aswell, which took a while due to lack of staff hence food arriving well after everyone else's. Ordered a Korean burger which was dry and overpriced for the portion size .very disappointed. Vibrant atmosphere but food lacked quality.

We didn't have a reservation, but they still seated us on a Friday evening. The food was good- gluten free options were excellent and all clearly marked in the menu- but the real stars were the staff. They were incredibly kind, accommodating, and friendly. Service deserves more than 5 stars. We will definitely go back!

Went to the cocktail bar, it hasn't been open long. The interior is nice and modern, the cocktail was lovely and the guys serving were very pleasant. Will be back when it's opened longer. There is a food menu and and it looked great with plenty of gluten free and vegan options

Great selection of delicious, gluten free goodies. I'm not following a gluten free diet but still really enjoyed the buns however they were slightly dry and crumbly compared to my favorite regularly baked goodies. Great, friendly and helpful service from the server. Mainly a take out however there are a couple of tables.

We visited Donegans this evening on our very first visit to Northern Island. We enjoyed a wonderful evening the food was truly wonderful I am Gluten and dairy intolerant my food was specially prepared and was delicious as was all of the food the four of us enjoyed. The staff were so good very helpful and fun! We would highly recommend Donegans thanks to all of the staff front of house, chef everyone you made our first night in Bangor memorable we will be back!

I had my dads funeral reception here last Thursday. Warm friendly atmosphere. All the staff were fantastic. Tea&coffee in endless supply, which was most welcome as it was such a cold day. Great selection of sandwiches followed by delicious chicken goujons, cocktail sausages and skinny chips. All piping hot. We also had 5 gluten free meals and 5 vegetarian which were also delicious. I returned to the Bryansburn again on Sunday for some lunch with my son and we were delighted with the meal. I would not hesitate to recommend this place. Thank you to all the staff for making a very difficult day go so smoothly x

Good range of breakfasts and main meals. Nice selection of cakes and great Gelato. Recommend the Blood Orange Smoothie! Gluten Free options include Omelettes and Cake.

I suffer from coeliac so I ordered GF Fish and Chips with peas which came in a gravy boat !! I asked for ketchup and was given an Asda classic tomato ketchup bottle, that surprised me in a bistro to be handed the bottle more like a local chippy. The chips were delicious however the Beer Battered Cod was a peculiar texture and colour. I scrapped most of the batter off as it also had a queer taste. Definitely not something I would recommend. I visited this Bistro approximately 2yrs ago and the fish was delicious. I’m not sure if the chef has changed but the batter definitely is from another recipe , I would suggest the chef makes friends with the chef in The Chip Stop Bangor as theirs is the best . On another note we also ordered gf option soup with wheaten bread as a starter however the gf option was just soup. Don’t know why they didn’t get gf bread from Asada as it’s quite good. Would I go here again . It’s a no .

Great food, great service. We love coming here whenever we are in Bangor. Provided a gluten free toast option with no trouble at all. The kids love the Malteser Square, I love the cooked breakfast.

Been there twice already. The first time the waitress was very slow and forgot cutlery and water. It didn't feel very organised at all. Pizza was very good though. The gluten free one I had was so tasty. We went back again recently and the service was much better - a different waitress this time. The pizza guy was always super friendly and asked how the pizza was. Highly recommended. For someone who usually doesn't fancy pizza, this is the only pizza place I'd be excited to go again.

Bwyd Da (Good Food in English) is a relaxing cafe right in the centre of Bangor. Reasonable prices with very friendly staff. Having recently moved to Bangor it's now become my default cafe. There are a few gluten free options as well and there's a good community involvement. I had their Greek salad which was most impressive.
