I did love it. Everything was so charming. I loved our waitress. Beautiful atmosphere with heated lamps and pretty lights. Very good gluten-free pasta. Even crayons and paper with activities for the kids. I would have liked more gluten-free variety but what we did order was fine, and even filled me up without meat. (I would've liked meat hahaha). The waitress was very patient, kind, knowledgeable, and helpful.
A solid choice for breakfast or lunch. Their breakfast dishes are good, but I recommend trying their arepas and chais (there are a few different options). GF-friendly, for folks who are gluten sensitive.
A modern twist on Vietnamese cuisine shines here, featuring a diverse custom menu and accommodating options for various preferences.

Tamarine Restaurant & Gallery
📍 546 University Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94301
Originally, I just wanted to eat Vietnamese food to cool down because the temperature was rising. But when I entered the restaurant, I found out that it was #Michelin recommended!
The appetizer is a four-course platter
Tamarine Taste (serves two)
Shrimp and Pork Spring Rolls, Tea Leaf Beef, Taro Root Rolls, and Papaya Salad. Serves two.
Shrimp & Pork Spring Rolls
Fresh rice paper rolls filled with shrimp, sous vide pork, bean sprouts lettuce mix, and mint with a hoisin sauce.
It contains mint and fish sauce.
Taro Root Rolls
Vegetarian. Crisp rolls filled with taro root, carrots, mushrooms and glass noodles, served with plum chili sauce. (Cannot be made gluten-free)
Vietnamese fried spring rolls
Tea Leaf Beef
Gluten-free. Ground beef, onion, garlic and tamari wrapped in a wild tea leaf, grilled and served with chili fish sauce.
Less commonly seen tea rolls
Papaya Salad is paired with something similar to beef jerky, which is a bit salty and hard to understand😣
Tiger Prawns & Garlic Noodles $39
Grilled tiger prawns wok-tossed with egg noodles, Parmesan cheese, oyster sauce, Fresno chile-garlic, & Vietnamese cilantro.
The popular garlic noodles, the prawns have been peeled for us to make it easier to eat.
Clay Pot Cod $31
Gluten-free. Alaskan black cod caramelized in onion, garlic, black pepper and molasses.
Ah Jun loves cod cooking, but it is rare to see this kind of cooking in the United States. Most of them are Japanese miso fish.
Service 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
When I made the reservation, I accidentally chose to celebrate my birthday, so I got a sorbet as a gift. The berry and coconut ones are very rich🥥
A high-quality restaurant that I would like to visit again. I haven’t found it before working in #paloalto for almost half a year🤨

Milkshakes. You really don't need to get anything else. I love the chocolate milkshake with added banana or the coffee-flavored one. They are mostly gluten-free, I think. Oh the strawberry one is excellent, too.
You can buy little bags of tokens as a gift for friends that are fans of the milkshakes. I wish I was still running so that I could have one every week.
