My wife and I came here on a whim and we were super impressed! The staff was super friendly and super accommodating for my wife's gluten intolerance (she has celiac). We got fried pickles which were so tasty and well portioned. We also got the spicy poke bowl and the fresh fish bowl. Our server made sure both the dishes were gluten free for us!
Can't recommend this place enough!

Amazing experience! We were able to get a same day reservation and were seated early upon our arrival even with the restaurant already being busy. The food was absolutely incredible - definitely the best we had during our stay in Kauai and maybe the best we’ve had in several months (years? Who knows - time passes so quickly these days). We loved our drinks (both booze and non-alc choices), our entrees (Keoki’s style, panko Mac nut crusted, and chef’s fresh fish duo), dessert (the bread pudding and mango GF pono pie) and the overall ambiance (beautiful setting, live music). They were super accommodating of gluten and nut allergies too. Definitely recommend!
A chill spot with a laid-back vibe, featuring knowledgeable staff, a clearly marked menu, and relaxing background music for a great lunch break.

As someone with gluten and dairy intolerance they were very professional, knowledgeable, and took the issue seriously. The menu is clearly marked with gluten free items and you can ask about dairy free. I had the short rib with kimchi fried rice and vegetables which was very tasty. The frozen drinks are dairy free. Mahalo to our server Limar! If you are GF and DF your best options are the 12 oz ribeye with rice instead of mashed potatoes or the short ribs with kimchi fried rice and vegetables. The fryer is not GF. The staff is very attentive and friendly. There was recorded music playing lightly that was pleasant and relaxing.

The owner has celiac disease and they have organic syrups and really yummy shaved ice. Definitely worth a visit. They also have food options and the owner knows how to prep even in a small food truck to prevent cross contact.
Enjoy stunning sunset views and a beautiful location, though menu options may not suit everyone’s preferences.

The atmosphere, sunset, and vibes of this restaurant are definitely positive. However, we found the service and food to be poor. We found a lot of people we talked to when referring us to this restaurant would say, “Oh my gosh the sunset is amazing,” but they never spoke highly of the food and service. We found this to be true, unfortunately. The food was mediocre, we’d been on the island for over a week and were looking forward to this meal, but it was definitely a let down. Also, we were celebrating a milestone birthday while on the island and had ordered a cake from a local bakery that was gluten-free and vegan as the birthday boy has strict allergies. When speaking to the restaurant, they let us know an hour in advance of our reservation that we could ‘under no circumstances’ bring the Birthday cake that was accommodating severe allergies for the birthday boy. We ended up only going once during our trip and again, found management, the service, and food to be average and nothing to rave about.
An amazing atmosphere and exceptional service can turn any mood around, making for a fabulous dining experience.

We arrived in a pretty sour mood. My husband broke two toes while we are here so he couldn’t drive. I’m not able to drive at night. We couldn’t find a ride to the restaurant. We ended up being 20 minutes late for our reservation. Our server turned that around. Ashlynn was so incredibly kind and knowledgeable. She had a great energy about her. The food was amazing. I am gluten-free and she was very helpful in determining what I could eat. She totally nailed her wine recommendations. We were in such a great mood by the end of our dinner!
Expect a top-notch experience with seamless ordering and a vibrant atmosphere, perfect for families looking for a hassle-free outing.

Service/Food/Atmosphere all 5*! Pricey as to be expected, but our family has gluten and dairy sensitivities and this was the Easiest/Smoothest ordering we've had in 10 days across the Islands. Thank you to our server Amy for being a superstar!

4.5 star rounded up to a five to make sure you go to this place.
We were looking for someplace a little less expensive and crowded than the oceanside bars and resorts, and this did the trick.
The food was great, they had beer on top, the prices were reasonable for the island, and the service was fun and friendly (thanks Idol!! Sp??).
The ahi poke was fresh and tasty and plentiful with a nice sauce and we added avocado to top it off. It was extremely filling.
The gluten-free Carnitas tacos had flavors of the islands, generous portions, and a nice slaw and sauce.
Sweet potato fries were also generous, tasty, and had a nice spicy aïoli to go with them.
Overall a great experience, and will definitely be back.

Leahi Health is a delicious vegan spot with plenty of gluten free options that are safe for Celiacs! I ordered the Baja tacos on corn tortillas and rainbow salad bowl. Both were layered with flavor, satisfying, and hearty. I had been searching for good fresh food in Kauai, and Leahi Health is it! Gluten free options are very cleared marked, and I felt safe eating here.
My friends (not gluten free) loved their meals as well. This spot is takeaway, and we ate our meals outside on picnic tables. Highly recommend Leahi Health for a lunch or breakfast!
Unique flavors shine here, though portions are on the smaller side, leaving you craving a bit more after indulging.

The food here was absolutely delicious. We got butter chicken and daal. The only downside is that the portions were a bit small and we ate a snack after. The staff was very knowledgeable about gluten free options, and their curry is all gluten free.

I have to eat gluten free, so this place was amazing for me; tacos are gluten free without modification. I've had tacos across the island through the years and these were perfect to me, tasty but not loaded with spice, taco shell soft and fresh and protein not undercooked or overcooked. I can't speak to anything else on the menu. Staff were very friendly, and the vibe here is very very chill, right on the golf course next door to Pilimai so it's quiet open air (covered lanai) with pretty views.
One of the best restaurants here in Kauai, also more expensive but well worth it.
Servers are knowledgeable about Gluten allergies and will suggest things on the menu.
Short ribs were real tasty. Grilled with mustard seed on top of horseradish mashed potatoes with kale and green beans in a miso sauce. My favorite meal so far! We also ordered the Ramen which is solid but have had better Ramen in the Bay Area. And we also ordered the beef Pipikaula which reminded me of a seared beef that tasted slightly aged.
For dessert we order the chocolate soufflé which you can't go wrong, perfect cake exterior and a soft gooey melted center.
Service is good and friendly. All around thumbs up.

An opulent buffet with a large assortment of gluten free options. You can order from the menu but the buffet is a better deal. Besides the normal breakfast options they also have dim sum and a selection of Hawaiian fruit. They will also bring gluten free pancakes on request.
The restaurant itself is a beautiful setting with great views. Make sure to visit the macaws on your way in.

We were hesitant to dine here given the mediocre reviews, but wow the food was great!! Hubby gave the pad Thai 10/10. The Thai fried rice was delicious as were the coconut shrimp. They were accommodating for our gluten free needs (Celiac) and made the Thai fried rice gluten free and their Pad Thai was gluten free at baseline. I will say they were quite pricey—$65 for 1 app, 1 adult entree and 1 kids meals, but the food was yummy and reasonable portions. We would definitely come here again!

Delicious brisket and coleslaw, made in house. All the meats are gluten free without sauce, and the brisket didn’t need sauce at all. The slaw was not too sweet, and a perfect compliment to the brisket. I highly recommend D Green’s if you need a quick bite or a BBQ fix near Koloa.

Let me begin this review by saying I very rarely write bad reviews for places. As someone who has worked in the service industry, fast food, serving, and bartending, for 8 years now, I often show places a lot of grace and understand that busy atmospheres warrant simple mistakes and misunderstandings. The main reason for me writing this review is the service. I will say the nice man working the counter was no issue. Additionally, there were several young women working the food area preparing lemonade and hot dogs. Most of them were of no issue. There was simply an issue with one of them. My sister and I both have a severe gluten allergy, and no it’s not a preference nor something we are dramatic about. We would both gladly eat bread, pizza, and pasta if we could. Because of this we asked if they had a lettuce wrap option instead of the traditional bun. The young lady scoffed and laughed at us and replied, “for the hot dog? No.” I understand there is a negative stigma around health fads that people choose to follow, but because we have a severe allergy we didnt expect to be treated as if we were trying to be difficult for no reason. Additionally, allergies should be taken seriously by all establishments since those with allergies should be able to eat out just like anyone else. My sister opted to not get food but I try really hard to roll with punches and conceded to a hot dog without a bun on a plate. I will say the combination of sauces I received were very good and the hot dog was okay, but there was another issue prior to my family and I departure. My family had ordered 3 lemonades along with our food. We received two lemonades with our order and asked for the third. The same lady who scoffed at our request for lettuce wraps began loudly proclaiming that we were only charged for 2. We asked what she would like us to do as we would happily have paid for a third, but instead she took a 3rd lemonade and slammed it down in front of us. I understand the busy environment may have warranted some stress but being treated in this manner was very upsetting. If anyone who works at this establishment would like to reach out to me regarding my family and I’s experience I would be most grateful, and no I would not like any free food or drinks since we do not live here and that would be useless. I would simply like to alert management to this issue so this doesn’t happen to anyone again.

You’ll love your experience at The Tasting Room. The service is professional, caring, and on top of their game. The food is delicious. They’re very accommodating of those with allergens (I had a great gluten free dinner). The atmosphere is an upbeat, positive vibe. All up, it’s an awesome dining experience. My family and I felt very well cared for from start to finish. Thank you to the staff!

Pizza was phenomenal. The reletively thin crust was crispy golden brown on the outside, soft in the middle, and had just the right amount of chew from a high-gluten flour.
The toppings included classics and some tasty originals. Highly suggest the sidewinder fries with the delicious dipping sauce.
The live music at 5 PM on a Friday kept us buying drinks and sitting at the table long after the pizza was finished. He was GREAT!
Delicious lychee martinis. Excellent service. Very gluten friendly options. My wife and I opted for the Kōloa pad Thai and the combination pineapple. HUGE portions and absolutely delicious!
