I called to ask about their gluten-free options, and the man who answered said, “Hold on”—then hung up. I called back, and this time, a woman answered and was much more helpful, so I proceeded with my order. I ordered French toast with fruit, specifically strawberries and blueberries.
When I arrived for pickup, I was surprised that my total came out to $27 and some change—plus an additional $1 card fee, bringing it to $28.39. For just French toast with fruit, this price seemed excessive. I might expect pricing like this in downtown Chicago or Burr Ridge, but not in Brookfield. While I understand that inflation has driven prices up, this still felt unreasonable for the area.
