I visited Great Sage on March 31, 2025, shortly after they opened for the day. Having just gotten off a flight, I drove directly from the airport, eager to enjoy a meal there. To my surprise, I was the only customer dining in at that time. I ordered the large gluten-free Caesar salad and the adult mac and cheese, both of which I had been looking forward to.
Unfortunately, the Caesar salad was disappointing. The croutons were inedible—hard and stale—making it nearly impossible to enjoy the dish. Left with just a plate of Romaine lettuce and Caesar dressing, I removed the croutons and made the best of it.
I was particularly excited about the adult mac and cheese, as it was the main reason for my visit. However, when it arrived, the top layer was warm, but the inside was ice cold. Given the restaurant was empty and I had ordered while eating the subpar salad, I was shocked. I brought this to the attention of the staff, who promptly took it back to be reheated. When it returned, I was horrified to see what was served: a bowl of vegan cheese sauce with a scant amount of pasta and vegetables on top.
At that point, my patience had worn thin. I asked for the check and declined a to-go box. I’ve ordered the adult mac and cheese from Great Sage many times before, and I’ve never seen it served this way. It tasted like a cheap, overly salted vegan cheese sauce and looked as if it had been prepared by someone with little culinary experience.
Overall, my visit today was highly disappointing. I don’t know if there has been a change in management or chefs, but the quality of the food has significantly declined. My last visit, about three months ago, was also underwhelming, with the spinach artichoke dip tasting sour and poorly presented, which is why I didn’t order it this time.
I hope Great Sage can return to the quality I once enjoyed, as this experience was far from what I expected.

I keep coming back to this delightful place in Clarksville Commons Food Court. I have enjoyed their Lamb Kati Rolls (absolutely delish) their samosas, and today I tried their Chicken kabob. Absolutely delish!!! Gluten and dairy free! They also have vegetarian dishes. I have both dined in and carried out, each time it was wonderful.
Oh Man(ow), this place is excellent! Gluten free options clearly marked. Fast, friendly, and most importantly, great food! Very excited to have a great Thai place in Clarksville. Let’s make sure this place stays!
The rice noodle bowls are gluten free and very tasty. We've gone back enough times to earn free bowls with the rewards program and quality is pretty consistent :) The staff are hit and miss sometimes, but with takeout that's less important than the delicious food!
