I ordered a delivery lunch for 20 for a work event. The food was outstanding - so delicious. The service was even better - from ordering to delivery. Highly recommend! We ordered chicken with rice, hummus, falafel and a salad. I didn’t have plates or forks+ (I forgot to ask) - the delivery person went out and came within minutes. Fantastic food and service. Good for those with dietary restrictions- vegan and gluten. Will definitely order again!!!
I have gluten allergies and was looking for somewhere that served rice noodles and rice paper rolls. Someone left a menu at work. I picked it up and decided to try I am glad I did its delicious and the serving size would easily feed 2. The peanut sauce and autumn rolls are out of this world. A must try for anyone. I don't know how they could make it any better.
We were in New Hartford visiting family and I am gluten free, as is my daughter so it is always difficult finding a place to eat. Well, we tried Carmellas and we're very happy with our choice. We did have a 30min wait but it was a Saturday night at dinner time, so to be expected. The food was absolutely delicious. Everyone that ordered had nothing but good things to say. The gluten free menu was extensive! Portions are generous! My daughter (2.5) got sauce noodles and I got the chicken broccoli alfredo and they were so good.
My gluten eating family got ribs, alfredo, tuna melt, sirloin and grilled cheese and no one had a single complaint.
Waitstaff are very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive even for a Saturday night. We will 100% be returning next time we're in the area visiting family!
Also, they offer a military discount. Even for 7 of us the bill was only $160 and we had two steak entrees and two gluten free entrees!
Only tiny negative thing I could mention was the music was a bit loud so we couldn't really hear one another well. We asked for it to be turned down and I'm unsure if they did or not.

Great steak, potatoes and brown sugar carrots were fantastic. Girlfriend had a gluten free chicken francaise that was very good with a delicious sauce! Love the new spot for them.
We love Rio Grande! The food is fantastic and the owner has always been extremely accommodating for a gluten allergy. I highly recommend the giant steak burrito, taco salad, chicken and steak fajitas and their delicious home-made salsa.
This wonderful, family-run, establishment is now a mainstay of our take out choices and it should be yours also!
