This place is amazing. I highly recommend you check it out. The food is all plant based which is nice, but to think of it purely in those terms misses the point. Everything I've had here is delicious, satisfying and perfectly prepared. I especially recommend the chickpea tuna wrap. For my taste buds it's even better than an actual tuna wrap. The lightly toasted gluten free wrap (optional) is a perfect finishing touch.
The vibe is warm and welcoming and management/ownership clearly care about service and atmosphere just as much as the food. Plant City Barrington is the best,
The platter of delicious, generously filled sandwiches is perfect for gatherings and came with tasty gluten-free options too!

I wish I could partially recommend a place. I am not one to leave bad reviews however the ignorance we received on 7/27 is beyond unacceptable. Our server was very clearly on the lackadaisical side. Normally, no worries, however when you have someone with celiac disease you are always cautious. The server assured us the menu offered “so many gluten free options and not to worry” so we ordered asking multiple times if particular items could be made gluten free. She said yes and put in our order. Our food was dropped by Patrick who I then asked for reassurance if both dishes we asked to be GF were in fact gluten free because I wasn’t a fan of the server’s lackadaisical personality. He went back to Chef Cara and a taller man behind the line and double checked. The pork chop was in fact NOT gluten free nor was it even marked on the ticket to be made gluten free. A mistake like this would have sent my brother to the hospital and killed someone like my mom who is an extreme celiac. While the meals we ate were yummy and we are EXTREMELY thankful for people like Patrick and Cara. The server we had should absolutely not be working in the industry if they can’t take a gluten allergy seriously or even bother learning a menu.
