My daughter has celiacs disease and therefore has never been able to enjoy a visit to an ice cream shop in her 6 years of life. Tragedy for a child. But today she was able to visit these fine people and they were FULLY trained and familiar with her dietary restrictions and for the first time in her life she was fully SEEN!! as a child with a serious allergy to gluten, she has always had to miss out on the sweets that so many of us remember enjoying as children. Hubby wanted Firehouse for lunch and I am gluten-free so I looked up the website which said they have GF bread now at all US locations. Went inside, they had it on their bread options sign at the counter, but when I asked for it, they said they don’t have it. It wasn’t a “we are out”, but “we do t have Gluten Free.” I definitely understand that not all businesses cater to those with allergen specific needs, but please don’t advertise it if you don’t carry it.
