A spot loved for its fantastic options and raved about treats, with a neighboring dessert stop that's hard to resist.

I'm sad that Counter Culture is closing but grateful that I was able to enjoy it for so many years. This place was ahead of its time, offering vegan options before they were readily available at grocery stores, food trucks, etc. The cashew cheezecake is amazing, and I ordered several of them for my birthdays over the years. The gluten free mac'n cheeze is also out of this world. Thank you, Counter Culture, for showing us that we don't have to torture animals (or our own bodies) to enjoy our favorite comfort foods.
Expect a unique pizza experience with a standout crust that leaves everyone raving, perfect for trying something different with friends.

The gluten free pizza crust did not disappoint. My non GF boyfriend even said it's the best crust he's ever had which is saying something as he's very critical about pizza. I unfortunately ate it so quickly I didn't get a chance to snap a photo. Definitely give them a try!
The vibe here is all about bold flavors and unique twists, with crispy bites and creative combinations that keep everyone coming back for more.

Wow, I really have never ran across this level of incompetency. I really hope it was just a fluke. But these 2 gentlemen, that were here, We're making me question the intelligence level of all of Austin. You shouldn't work in the food industry if you don't know what gluten is. Lord have mercy on this food truck. Lemme go somewhere that won't confuse a gluten allergy with a nut allergy.
I brought a group of eleven here. I called ahead but when I got there they had forgotten to reserve seats for me. It was crowded but after a ten minute wait they accommodated us. The service after that was decent. The food is really representative of Tex Mex. I had the fried stuffed avocado and it was delicious. A vegetarian gluten-free guest was able to get something that worked for them. Trudy's is definitely worth a visit but be careful when bringing big groups.
I just had to share my experience. Do yourself a favor and go eat at Ceviche7. I eat gluten free and the chef made my Beef Stir Fry without soy sauce, and it was EXCELLENT! Great service and conversation, and most importantly great food!
