What a special cafe! The mission behind this cafe, the founder and the whole team are all so awe inspiring. It’s a social enterprise, not for profit that serves the community in a eco and animal friendly manner. The coffee is organic and fair trade, the food is all plant based, the vibes are good and on top of it all, it’s beautiful inside. Considering the coffee is organic and fair trade, the prices are exceptionally good. Way lower then Starbucks and SB is not even organic or fair trade, let alone both. They also have lots of gluten free baked goods. It’s so hard to find gluten free and vegan baked goods. I almost shed a tear of happiness when I saw their selection. Ask the baristas for their recos. Cathy has never steered me wrong! Yum!! Pro-tip, park at the mall across the street to save money for more treats at Studio!

Went on a warm Monday night and got a seat on the patio right away. I have Celiac disease and am always nervous to eat at new restaurants. By chance, our server Kara is also a Celiac, which literally made my night 100% better! She walked me through the whole menu and assured me she would follow up with the kitchen to make sure Celiac protocols were followed. My husband and I each had 2 tacos and a margarita, all delicious! Mine were on gluten free corn tortillas and I felt like I could actually relax and eat my food without worry, which is super rare when I’m always concerned about cross contamination when eating at a non-gluten free restaurant. Thank you Kara for taking the time for a fellow Celiac, even though you also had a massive 20 person party to also serve!

Everything was delicious. The restaurant is super cozy and delicious! Our server Tanya was amazing, super friendly, knowledgeable about the menu. I have a serious gluten allergy and she was very informative about different menu options. Great customer service. I will always go back especially for Tanya's service she made everything EXCELLENT!

I’ve been to Famoso a few times and always enjoy the Margherita pizza. Really appreciate the gluten free crust option. On my latest visit, a birthday celebration , the service was super friendly and we had a great time. Will be returning again.

Almost everytime I call asking for gluten free cookies they are sold out (called 5 different times and only once did they have them) Whether it's first thing when they open, mid day, or the evening. It's sold out. I was told they were selling a smaller portion of rolo cake that was gluten free. I asked the price and they said $5. The regular slice which is really large and too big imo is $12 so I happily got the small portion. When they brought it out to me it was in a tiny mason jar container! It wasn't even filled up all the way. The portion was close to 1/4 of the size of the regular cake slice and $5! Very disappointing. Adding a photo to show the size of the container.

Interesting place adapted from a car mechanic garage. The coffee was very good, they have nice food options to choose from including gluten free and some toys for kids to play with so the adults can actually enjoy their coffee.

We come by here often, but this was our first time coming in and eating at this restaurant! The staff were friendly and quick! Our drinks and pizzas were out in no time at all! Was also pleasantly surprised to see a lot of gluten free options and other dietary accommodations right on the menu!!! We came later in the evening and got the happy hour pizzas which were amazing!!! Would love to come a bit earlier to play some of the patio games as well!! We will definitely be coming back! Shout out to our lovely waitress Claire!

Honestly... Tried wings everywhere and so far the best wings. Also if they are at the counter you need to try the cookies. Only thing I hope to see from a good wing place is what's gluten free, what's keto friendly, and what the different flavors mean without calling. But nonetheless, great service and no issues whatsoever

That hummus avocado sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I've had in my life. Theur gluten free bread was really amazing as well, I'd love to buy a whole loaf of that. The squash soup was pretty good, the spices used are quite different than what I've tasted before. Definitely unique. The $6 chocolate chip cookie honestly was not good at all. It's not soft and chewy, is very dense and was disappointing (and yes I am used to eating vegan gluten-free desserts). That's my honest opinion. I will definitely be ordering again as I'm sure there are other great items on the menu and I'm totally getting that sandwich again oh my God! ❤️😍 Highly recommend

Good place to watch sports and to socialize but not ideal for dates... Always usually crowded and tables are close together. I highlight for me is that they have a separate gluten free menu available and it makes my life significantly easier when I am choosing BUT if you are celiac you really need to MAKE SURE the plates are GF because I have been through 2 problems where the dishes weren't GF and I noticed before eating it and had to wait more time to get my food and it impacted our table. The waitress/manager didn't comp the meal both times but gave us reward points instead. If you want to go to watch games, I would suggest reserving a Hightop table the day before (you can't reserve the day of) as it will always be crowded for any games and would only suggest it if you are good/comfortable at hawkeyeing tables.
