Booked in for a Sunday roast. Staff were friendly and polite. I fancied a bit of roast pork and crackling when booking, unfortunately at the carvery there was no roast pork on the menu, garden peas instead of parsnips, Yorkshire puddings which were inedible, including the gluten free variant, way too stodgy, cauliflower not fully cooked. All in all carvery not recommended.
A welcoming spot with a dog menu and great atmosphere, though options for vegetarians could be a bit lacking.

Went for lunch with friends and can only say that despite the positive reviews, together with my previous experiences, this latest visit left lots to be desired. Although advertised as gluten free, there was no gluton free bread available leaving little choice despite the menu stating the opposite... bread is a basic staple but apparently it's cost is prohibitive!; the waiting staff were polite and attentive but we're clearly not sufficiently informed as to the availability of items on the menu; in the past I've I received value for money but sadly on this occasion I certainly can't say the same. Whether I'll return remains to be seen... the jury's out!
Great meals with generous portions and delicious desserts make this spot a must-visit for those in the area!

We had three excellent meals here - good portions, nicely cooked also gluten free options for dessert (chocolate fudge brownie). Staff were friendly and very helpful. Will definitely come again if we are down this way!
Great atmosphere and staff. Food fantastic, gluten free Sunday roasts are phenomenal. Sunday afternoon in the marquee with live music and entertainment. Highly recommend.
