I highly recommend a stop here if you are passing through. Wonderful space for the kids, separate out door area for a quieter table, lovely inside, clean throughout. Food was over a good quality standard and all gluten free. Staff were very warm and welcoming. There is ample parking and access to the canal for a dog walk.

Elsie mays catered for my step dad’s birthday party and did a fantastic job. The food was delicious, we had lots of compliments! Mandy was brilliant from start to finish. Charming village pub with a local vibe. We popped in for lunch on our way from Ilfracombe to Exeter.
Food was nice but the service was 10/10.
There is a separate vegan menu and some gluten free options. Owner and staff were super friendly and helpful - they clearly understood which items were vegan/gf.
Our dog had her own bowl of sausage with sides and gravy (not vegan), and we said hello to the two beautiful resident golden retrievers.
Overall a lovely visit - would recommend.
