This is one of the cutest outdoor bistro restaurants I’ve ever ever been to, and I always try to visit and try their cuisine anytime. I am in the Santa Cruz area. It is always a delight and the service and staff there are always friendly and make you feel at home. Today was certainly no exception. Thank you again chocolate for having the best gluten-free bread I’ve ever had!
This charming spot offers generous portions of delicious breakfast classics in a warm, inviting atmosphere—perfect after a night out!

Old school vibes, this place serves up reliable delicious breakfast staples and big portions. Perfect for Sunday morning after a night out.
They have gluten free toast too, no extra charge.
I had poached eggs and bacon, my boyfriend has Popeyes omelette which was huge and very cheesy.
It’s cash only, but there’s an atm for $2. Felt like a hidden gem and great to support a long time, locally run restaurant.
Enjoy a fantastic array of unique beers and ciders in a vibrant atmosphere with cozy indoor seating and spacious outdoor options.

Great beer selection, they even had a gluten free beer tucked away in the back for my celiac partner to try!
Hummus tray and the roasted potatoes were both great as well!

If you are driving highway 1 and want a great taste of local California wine, beers, or seafood, this is a great option. The delicious gastropub quality food is worth the price because the flavors are amazing. There are many vegan and gluten free options on the menu. There is also a comfortable and warm dining area with outdoor seating as well.
A must-visit spot with unique custom options, a deli counter, and tasty treats; just be ready for a busy scene and limited seating!

Hands down my all time favorite deli... Only place that can even remotely compare is garden deli by Dominican hospital but zoccollis is the best, by far...
They have an all original menu plus you can custom make your food, they have a wide selection of lunch items and a few possible dinner options like pasta, lasagna, spaghetti and raviolis etc... My fav on a hot day is the castroville Italian (as long as they aren't slim on the insides... Too much bread when they do that, ruins it) but the breaded chicken pesto is my favvvvvvv of all time! The blast is good too.
They have a deli counter to get sliced meat for take home, lots of independent options for chips, local favorite "the cookie company" has cookies here, wonderful cakes, pies, cheese cake (so good), wide drink selection and lots of salads & vegetarian options... Even gluten free options too!
Try to call in ahead, menu can be found online. Park by the bank and post office and go in through the back... Way easier. No seating inside and very limited seating outside... I just get take out and go to the beach a few minutes away (by car). Makes for a great lunch date!
Service is awesome but they are extremely popular so just know they get very busy and try not to take it personally if you end up on hold for a very long time... Lol... It's happened to me a few times over the years... But its just THAT busy!! Worth the wait though!!!
A family-run gem in Santa Cruz with unique, flavorful dishes that keep diners coming back for more every time they're in town.

Ordered :
Chicken chow mein + fried rice lunch special - 5/5. Awesome dish, but fried rice by default is pork fried rice. They were very accommodating in switching this to chicken fried rice especially after it had been served.
Kung Pao Chicken - 5/5. Very flavorful, next time order it spicy.
Vegetable Chow Fun (Gluten free, Vegan) - 5/5. The best gluten free chow fun I have had. Most other gluten free chow fun are flavorless due to no soy sauce, but this one was just amazing and tasty.
Will Order Again - 5/5 . Definitely, this is my go to chinese place in Santa Cruz and I plan to visit this place everytime i am in Santa Cruz
A great, family run chinese place that has its own touch to all the dishes. My favorite chinese restaurant now and I plan to try every dish I can eat at this place.
The View Restaurant. I’ve been here many times. Lovely views. Good food. The website needs updating, they haven’t had the Sunday brunch buffet in 2 years. (Reservations are confusing because the online site will accept a reservation but then tell you it doesn’t count and you have to call but then no one will call you back.) Our server seemed stretched a little thin most recent visit and for the first time I had food allergy incident. It was an honest mistake and the manager came to notify us as soon as he realized their kitchen staff had made a mistake - which was right after I started realizing what was happening also so I appreciated the notification so I could get to my meds ASAP. It was a lovely morning prior to the exposure though. Celiacs be aware and maybe triple check your dish.
Live Celtic music on Thursdays adds a unique vibe to this lively spot that guarantees a great time with friends and family.

Very good salmon fish and chips. The salads are good, but small for the price and a bit heavy on the dressing. It would be good if they used corn or potato starch rather than flour on the fries for those who are trying to avoid gluten (karma for stealing my husband's fries)
Charming spot with a relaxing garden vibe, offering a diverse menu and a welcoming atmosphere that caters to various dietary preferences.

Really yummy brunch spot! Gluten free and vegetarian options! Had the eggs florentine with gluten free muffin and it was very good. The home fries were amazing! Bf had the tofu scramble and it was also very good! Sat it the cute garden and was very relaxing. Too full to try the crepes! Next time! Service was excellent!

We came here and one of us had a gluten intolerance. The personnel was very helpful and tried to find gluten free options, and we found finally a good solution. Thanks for the help and the good service! Also the other food was good we eat there.
This popular spot draws crowds for its diverse menu and beloved açaà bowl, with both indoor and dog-friendly outdoor seating.

One of the best breakfast / brunch places in Santa Cruz!
Be warned that this restaurant is so good that people will wait for hours to get a table on the weekend. I’m not sure if the wait is still as long, after the pandemic, but the food is still as good.
I’m not fond of most breakfast foods, especially eggs (which I find to be one of the tastes and textures I despise more than almost any other “food”). However, Cafe Brasil’s egg dishes are actually something I look forward to eating! Honestly, I can count the number of egg dishes that I have ever liked on one hand (before trying the egg dishes here), and still have spare fingers. Yet, Cafe Brasil has several egg dishes that I really like!
If you don’t want eggs, though, they have so many other options that you are guaranteed to find at least a few dishes that you will fall in love with, from standard American fare to the very unusual.
The most popular item on the menu is the “acai bowl”, which is similar to a frozen smoothie made from raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries (the flavor of the açaà berries) with crunchy vanilla granola on top, and then sliced strawberries and bananas topping all of that. I promise that this açaà bowl tastes even better than it sounds like it would! Yum!
I found this restaurant because a friend introduced me to it and I fell in love with the food. Every person I have brought here still talks about it when they visit, and asks to go back.
— The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating.
— The outdoor seating is dog friendly.
— There are plenty of options for most people with dietary restrictions; just let the staff know when you are ordering. (I am vegetarian and at least 1/2 of the menu is available for me to order with only a few items needing any adjustments. There are plenty of vegan options as well as gluten-free options. Just note that if you don’t tell your server, you should expect most dishes to come with fresh cooked bread and butter, and often pan fried potatoes.)

Had lunch at Far West Fungi today. Gluten free options were limited, by the person taking my order modified the salad to make it gluten free. He put together a tasty bowl of mushrooms with garlic and onions - delicious! My husband enjoyed the risotto balls and empanada

Food was great! Happy hour did not have many options. The menu didn’t include any gluten free notes but the receipt had it. Definitely would dine again. Fish tacos on homemade corn tortillas were excellent.
Love it here! Fresh produce, lots of choices, large portions, great service...a great gf option for gf intolerance or celiac. Just make sure to get gf granola substituted or leave it off. Extreme gluten sensitivity and I never get sick here.

Fantastic food and experience every time I go! Additionally, I have Celiac disease (can’t have gluten unfortunately), and they always do a great job of having items that are actually gluten free, and also let me bring in my own gluten free bread and crackers so I could share and enjoy the Butter Board with the rest of my group. Always outstanding cocktails and food, and a very friendly and attentive staff. My favorite place for a special occasion!
This restaurant is one of my favorites. I always get the chicken kabobs and they are consistently good. The staff is well trained and very attentive. We popped in at five on a Sunday without a reservation and were seated right away but the tables filled quickly, so reservations recommended for sure. Bonus for me, many dishes are naturally gluten free, having Celiac I've never had a problem here.

I am not usually one to go out to eat at an Italian restaurant. But, holy smokes, this place knocks your socks off. Plus, you'll get a nice glass of house red or white with any pizza or pasta dish (they also have gluten-free). Are you looking for a super romantic, classy, family oriented, and nice authentically Italian dinner? Then look no further and teleport here.

Atmosphere is definitely old school but well cared for. The service was excellent and attentive. The food was delicious and prepared correctly to complete all special requests, including an excellent gluten free bun for the burger. Highly recommend and will be back in the future to try their weekend brunch. We didn't do any alcohol with this dinner. So our price per person was lower.
