We were staying at the Saratoga Oaks Lodge for our son's wedding at Saratoga Springs.
I mention the above because it made Hong's well situated for the 30+ rehearsal dinner.
The food was indeed gourmet. All of it was made with attention to detail and served fresh.
I could make a meal just of their delicious egg drop soup. It is exceptional.
Do try the lemon chicken.
The service was excellent. The staff did not insist we stay with a banquet menu, which I'm sure would have been easier for them. They were great about letting us order a la carte, including gluten free and vegetarian options. They didn't bat an eye when 10 guests walked in an hour late and we needed more food.
I owe them for that.
The cost was more than reasonable.
Everyone raved about the dinner for the next 2 days.
Thank you, Hong's, for a memorable family event!
Good food and great place in Saratoga. We went here for dinner on Valentine’s Day. The restaurant interiors offer romantic vibe and it’s perfect to celebrate a special occasion. They have a dedicated menu for gluten free items, plus they have a good number of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. We ordered gluten free sesame rolls first and they tasted really good along with peanut sauce. Next, we ordered vegetarian Panang curry and drunken noodles. The curry was amazing and tasted rich in flavors. They don’t give rice 🍚 as a side to the curry so you would have to order rice separately. Drunken noodles was good but could have been better. Overall it was a good experience.
The general manager Samantha did a great job ensuring our large party was set up to accommodate for my partner's and her aunt's severe gluten allergy (celiac). Our server Rod was super helpful in communicating each item and serving gluten items to only half our party, who ate from a separate pot...we had a great meal!
Everyone loved their food. They accommodated our large party with ease. My burger was really tasty. Our gluten free party members were happy with their choices, which were more interesting than burgers without buns.
Masu Bistro features Japanese cuisine. The menu didn't offer much in the way of gluten free items.BUT the chef prepared our food without any gluten. Yes! We thought the salmon was perfect, the salad was delicious, and the rice was fine. What made our visit memorable was the gracious hostess and the delightful outdoor seating. Try it, I think you will like it.
We have been here twice now and love it! Lots of traditional breakfast dishes and kid friendly options, but they also have Jok Koong which is to die for! Also they have orange marmalade at every table for your toast. It is clear they have put lots of thought and effort into every aspect of this restaurant. The food is delicious and the presentation of the dishes is something you would find at a Michelin star restaurant. Even the interior design is beautiful. The staff are very attentive and eager to make sure you are happy. It's a new restaurant though, so they might make a mistake as they are still learning the menu. My only suggestion for them is that there are some options on there menu that should be labeled gluten free (like fried eggs) but for some reason aren't, which can be confusing. Also I hope they bring back the gluten free toast.
I really hope this place takes off because it's our new favorite breakfast place.
GOGA deserves five stars! The food was excellent and the chef made sure to explain all the dishes to us. By contacting ahead of time, I was able to have a wonderful gluten free dinner. A first that a restaurant could offer me such a delicious meal that I could eat without worrying about my celiac disease. Many thanks to the chef. I hope more people find your restaurant. Much success in the coming year.
This was our first time here and honestly it was because I had received a gift card from a generous client. We were only able to reserve outside seating as we made reservations the night before. The patio heaters were nice and warm and they provide blankets for additional warmth. Our server, Eric was very good. We had to order GF items due to Celiac and Eric made sure that everything we ordered was safe and understood what we required. We started with the stuffed mushrooms which were delicious and then we ordered the filet and the scallops. Both were cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The smoke flavor really came through on the steak. We then finished with the flourless chocolate cake and caramel popcorn sunday. We would return just for the desserts alone. Overall a great experience and we will be adding this restaurant to our list of special places to go!
