Our first time here, and we were very pleasantly surprised! Everything was great, drinks were standout, we all got very different things and they were all delicious. I appreciated that all the drinks were super intricate and interesting, nothing standard about them. Food was great, we still have no idea what the fry sauce was, but it was amazing. Also, one of our friends has a gluten allergy and they said that the owner is also gluten free and a surprising number of menu items are gluten free or can be made so, so that's a plus. Ambiance was spectacular on a Friday night, the restaurant was buzzing and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Good music, definitely a fun spot, not stuffy. Will absolutely be coming back.
Delicious food with big portions and ice cold beer. I love that the Playwright has a cozy and Irish feel but the menu is very flexible and fits a lot of different types of food (vegan and gluten free). Wait staff and bartenders are friendly and helpful. A huge fan of the large but not overwhelming selection of beers. Indoor and outdoor seating is very nice. The Playwright also does a great job of keeping social distancing guidelines and ensuring everyone wears a mask. Constant cleaning and easy access to hand sanitizer is a big plus! Highly recommend stopping here for food or drinks.
