I am visiting my parents and they rave about this place. So I called ahead to make a reservation and also let them know that I have celiac disease and an egg allergy. She said she put it on our reservation and just to mention it to the waiter when we got there. When we arrived, the hostess seated us and immediately got the chef, who is also the owner. He came to our table and went through the entire menu of what I could and shouldn’t eat (there wasn’t a lot I couldn’t eat). The majority of the menu is gluten free or could be made gluten free. I was so incredibly impressed by the service. My meal was absolutely fantastic. We got mussels for an appetizer, my husband and I split the Mediterranean salad and I got the Salmon which comes with cream corn which was out of this world. And then subbed mashed potatoes for brussel sprouts (I’m pregnant. So all the carbs for me.) everything was incredible and I was not sick at all! Highly recommend F.M. Dons. Definitely let your waiter know what’s going on and they will take care of you!

As a person who can not eat gluten I am always wary of going to new restaurants, so when my boyfriend decided to go here I was nervous as I expected everything to be frozen proccessed food. I ate the pad thai and for dessert the fried icecream/bananas. As a person that can not have fried food it was wonderful to be able to try it! If I eat gluten I have a reaction within 30 minutes, it has been 2 days and still no reaction! I will deffinetly recommend this resturant to anyone I know that can't eat gluten and I will deffinetly be returning! The food was awesome!!
Delicious food, fantastic service, and friendly owners! What more can one ask for in a restaurant? I am from AZ and when I visit FL it's always difficult to find yummy Mexican food. This place is just as good if not better than most of my favorites back home.
I was just recently diagnosed with celiac disease and was pleasantly surprised how well I was taken care of here. Mostly everything seems to be homemade to order. I am on a trial and error system at the moment with eating out and get sick afterwards often, but am VERY happy to say I did not get sick after eating here. The owner even came out to make sure my meal was good to go and realized that I had the red sauce and informed me that it is thickened with gluten. He sent it back and had it quickly made again with green sauce. I felt safe eating here and the green sauce was delicious. The cheese here is to die for and whatever they do to the chicken is amazing. My aunt is a vegetarian and they had plenty of options for her. The potato enchilada and chicken taco are two of my favorites!

We went to Leroy's after hearing really good recommendations from friends. The menu is unique and extensive! I asked our waiter (his name was Stax) about gluten free options and he was incredibly helpful and patient in letting me know the best options. I ended up getting the jerk salmon and it was delicious, cooked perfectly. My dad got the jalapeño burger which he said was very tasty and my mom got the fried krab rolls which she raved about and declared them "a new favorite dish". Great food, friendly staff and awesome service, we will be back!
