We had such a good time last week at the Kelly Hunt show. Our server was great, she was very helpful in making a gluten free substitution on the charcuterie board. I really enjoyed my praline old fashioned. I'm not sure what gluten free bread they used, but it was delicious and it's hard to find good GF bread.
However, I am not happy that I have to leave this review.
When we got to the show the seats we bought online were a little to close to the stage for my comfort. I asked if we could switch seats, and the door guy told us we could pick out pretty much any other seat since the show was not sold out.
However he did not tell us that we would be charged for another pair of tickets and a $11 "convenience fee". That came to an extra $60 ish dollars for just moving two seats to the right.
Let me repeat, Hey Nonny charged us over $60 to switch seats. If that is their policy, then we should of been informed of that when I asked to move over and I wouldn't have done so.
My husband went over to the venue today to talk to the manager about the second set of tickets on our bill and he was told that it's "their policy" and there is nothing they would do about it.
Despite wanting to go back to the restaurant for the really good gluten free food, which by the way is not easy to find at a non chain restaurant in this area I won't come back since we were ridiculously charged at the venue. I feel very ripped off.
With creative dishes and a unique honey twist, this spot delivers big flavor in a cozy and clean atmosphere.

This place doesn't look like much from the outside but the food was amazing. I tried a special dish but my friends each had something off the regular menu. Clearly honey is their thing and they use it well. It's clean, service is pretty fast, and has gluten free/dairy free options. I'd definitely go back.
What a relaxing, fun and delicious lunch! Needed dairy free and gluten free and still had a great variety to choose from and all delicious. Best Sangria in town.
Enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with a fun patio, friendly vibes, and a street blocked off for easy exploration while you wait for your table.

I wanted to try Scratchboard Kitchen for awhile now. Because of the pandemic, I was still a bit hesitant to dine indoors. Luckily, their patio was open and they do take reservations!
A friend and I made a noon reservation for Sunday. Got there on time but was told our table is not ready yet. Had to stand around and wait for about 20-25 mins. It was a gorgeous day out and there's plenty of stores surrounding the area that you can explore while you wait.
I love how they blocked off a whole street so customers can walk around the area without having to watch for traffic.
Did I mention this restaurant is women owned AND allows dogs out on the patio?! Masks are required when dining indoors. All staff are wearing their masks as well. If you can't stand wearing a mask, reserve a seat outside.
Our waitress was super friendly and gave us a quick intro about the restaurant. Everything is freshly made daily. Before going to the restaurant, I was looking forward to their Pastry Board. Homemade pastries are a must try for me! Unfortunately, it was already sold out by 12:30 PM by the time we were seated. Very disappointed but will try to come back earlier next time!
I ended up just ordering a Biscuit and their gluten free Banana Bread which comes with local honey butter and jam. This isn't your regular Pillsbury sized biscuit. It was big enough to share with another person. I absolutely loved the buttery and cheesy taste of the biscuit! Their honey butter goes really well with the biscuit! Loved it!
Banana Bread was really good too! I shy away every time i hear something is "gluten free" because it just tastes BAD. But NOT this Banana Bread!! The banana bread was very fresh, packed with banana flavor, moist and a little bit of a chewy texture to it.
My friend ordered the LAMB SHAKSHOUKA ( FETA, CILANTRO, BAKED EGG, SOURDOUGH TOAST). The lamb was cooked very tender and has a little bit of a spice to it. I wish there was more sourdough pieces to go with it because it was really delicious!
I can't wait to come back and try other items on their menu!
Chic vibes and unique dishes await, with standout pizzas and innovative apps that promise a delightful dining experience you won't forget.

Went to try Bar Salotto before a show in downtown Arlington Heights. New to the neighborhood, we were excited to try it out.
They were very accommodating. One of our party was gluten free and the waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable helping her pick the gluten free homemade penne with the spicy vodka sauce. It was delicious.
We started out with the wagyu veal meatballs with whipped ricotta appetizer and the garlic puffs (the sauce was used to dip pizza in too) Both were outstanding. A hearts of palm salad with the most delicious imported Hawaiian hearts of palm was a fantastic light choice before the entrees arrived.
As mentioned above, gluten free homemade penne with spicy vodka sauce was outstanding and light and nobody would ever know it was gluten free.
We then had the Salotto hand stretched pizza that was light and different than your run of the mill pizza. The flavors and the light crust alone would have me returning.
Finishing the night with a Kiki skillet was the perfect finish to an amazing dinner. My only regret was that I didn’t have room to finish the dessert
All in all, I can’t wait to return. There are many other pizzas I look forward to trying that were recommended like the Fig and Pig and the Spicy Calabrese pan pizzas.
The waiter also recommended the Bolognese pasta and the
Tuscan Kale Salad.
The owner and the manager were both very visible and attentive walking through the dining room and checking on the tables.
Underwhelming! Felt like a nice atmosphere with high prices and Applebee food quality. GLUTEN free eaters take note, I asked to confirm if the Salmon with vegetables and rice with butter sauce was 'gluten free' so imagine my surprise to see a $3 surcharge on the receipt for gluten free. 1st time in ANY restaurant there were a 'gluten free' surcharge without even having anything specific being Gluten free! What exactly did they do differently to an already gluten free meal is beyond my comprehension. I had inquired what noodle option was 'gluten free' and was told only 1 noodle option ( Rigatoni I think?) so I did not bother with a gluten free noodle dish. Now the meals for both of us were underwhelming and 'not good'. (for me the Salmon felt dry, old and stinky and my 91 year old friend said her Marcella wasn't very good either and the sauce way too salty). So the servant staff was very nice but that's where our experience today ends. Our bill with 2 soft drinks was $57 before tip for LUNCH. We agreed we will not return. ONE AND DONE folks!
Exceptional service and delicious options make for a fantastic catering experience that ensures your event is unforgettable.

I had catered from Madurai Kitchen for my wife’s birthday. From the time I called them to enquire about their catering, they dazzled me with outstanding service. Particularly Hemalatha was prompt and thorough with the recommendations, pricing and policies. I requested samples of the food I was going to cater, they obliged. The samples were delicious. We added dosa station to the menu as well. On the day of the party, Hema followed through on all the details. The chef showed up on time and everyone loved the food. The hot masala tea was a super hit. We had about 70 people and there was practically no left overs. Hema even arranged for gluten free appetizers.
I am beyond delight on the quality of the service. Thanks Hema a lot for making it a memorable celebration.

Have two of the best gluten free meals ever from this establishment. Don't afraid to try anything they make, it is all good and right here in Arlington Heights. Buy anything and buy often, let's keep this treasure open for a long time.
Lunch specials are amazing, I'm a big fan of the singapore noodles, they are made with rice noodles, gluten free, big portion, the flavors are wonderful, and food always fresh, thank you wing wah

My best friend and I love Ohana Poke! I have celiac, and the owner took the time to review all the ingredients while we waited, giving me a list of all of my gluten free options. This was within weeks of opening. Since then, I've noticed the online ordering has the GF and Gluten Containing items noted. This extra step made me so happy. But above all this, the food is so good 😭
This spot is a family favorite with a vibrant atmosphere that keeps everyone coming back for more, making it a must-visit in town!

The food was great and the staff was amazing! They were very careful with our dairy and gluten allergy and assured us that they would clean the grill before making our meal. I will definitely be going back!
