The owners of this delightful Mom&Pop restaurant serve good food at a reasonable price. The atmosphere is calming and cozy. The food is delicious and prepared with care. I especially love their gluten-free waffles with blueberries. It's my favorite breakfast restaurant in all of L/A!!

Just driving by on a Wednesday early afternoon, spotted it driving by- a few cars parked out in front gave all the outside signs of a decent Italian restaurant.. so we decided to give it a go…
Walked in not knowing what to expect.. there was a lite menu posted on the wall .. but no signage indicating whether one orders at register or??.. but then I noticed a pile of menus nearby so we grabbed 2 and sat down..
.. thinking a waitress would come by- we pondered our choices - which looked plenty- though for gluten free options- only a small pizza and some salads were available.
After deciding our choices- I had to ask a wandering waitress if we had to order at counter - yes was her only reply.
We placed our orders, and paid with credit card- and they leave a spot for you to leave a tip - my question is for what ?? - the only service is that they bring the food to your table- is that worth even a 10% tip?
I won’t go into what we ordered but it was Very Good… so that made up for the lack of service- what the owner doesn’t realize is that this system is not conducive to ordering either more food or a dessert. It’s a shame because everyone loses- the waitstaff have no incentive to push more product and thus they make little for tips, the owner loses potential larger sales- and the first time customers like ourselves just wants to get out because it’s not a pleasant dining experience!
Hidden gem with a cozy vibe and consistently delicious offerings; it’s a must-visit for a delightful and affordable experience!

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!! Quality food, people and atmosphere! Lovely hole in the wall location that you wouldn’t know was there unless someone told you, which in my opinion is the best place to be! They have vegan and gluten-free options, their food is extremely delicious and always consistent. I recently moved from the area and used to go here weekly. It was a absolute treat and affordable! The are closed on weekends which is a bummer but that’s the only “negative” thing I could say.
One of the ONLY restaurants in Lewiston/Auburn that offers HEALTHY food choices besides salads- with plenty of vegetables, and naturally gluten free/dairy free options available that wont make you feel sick or guilty later. Their naan bread & chicken biriyani are DELICIOUS and some of the best food i have ever tasted. I know people who travel from HOURS away just to come here. Its not spicy to me either. Good portion sizes. Owned and operated by the nicest, hardest working people/family/employees ever ❤️
The building itself has the most unique charm and the decor is simple black and white photos of an era gone by. The lights were beautiful as well. The restaurant was not overly crowded and the atmosphere was calm and quiet. The booths are comfy and the chairs for the tables are as well. The tables are all beautifully redone. The food was spot on!! Unfortunately I filled up on apps...we had the mozz moons, potato skins and wings....all of which absolutely hit the spot! The steak tips were delicious, the chicken strips were lightly breaded not to heavy. Loved the fact they had gluten free options for my son. The prime rib was not filled with fat and grizzle. The drink was strong and good. Hope to return soon!!
Reliably great food and service. Orchid is a delightful surprise in the L/A area, and not to be missed! Pricing is on par with the food quality, and the beer, wine, and saki selections are clearly well-thought out. The beer even includes multiple gluten-free varieties, a welcome change from most eateries. I haven't been to a better Asian fusion restaurant in recent memory. Do yourself a favor and pay Orchid a visit.
My FAVORITE RESTAURANT in the Lewiston/Auburn area with the best staff who always treat my boyfriend and i amazingly, and are extra wonderful to us. My go to restaurant. The best Sam's. Friendliest staff. Highest quality food. I rave about this place to everyone. Their gluten free pizza and salads are better yet more affordable than anything i could make or buy anywhere else from any other restaurant. Very quickly made as well. Thank you guys so much!
