Sat down and told waiter, no menus, we are ready to order. He didn't come back for 10 minutes. Gluten-free pizza was strange. While I appreciate that they didn't use the 'frozen shell' and made their own from scratch, the rice flour they used made for an undercooked texture. $13, then an additional $4 for gluten-free? Why? Was the flour organic? Somehow, I doubt it. Parking is also tough. There was an event at a nearby church. Circled 8 times. The GF pizza was not worth it.
140 is the upscale dining experience we need in downtown Peekskill and we can’t await to come back to further explore the menu! We were warmly welcomed by our server Ryan and bartender Ken who both made outstanding recommendations on what to try at our 1st time dining with them. We were blown away by our starters that tasted as good as they looked! The Broccoli Tempura, drizzled with Honey Gochujang will be a regular order for us. And you must try the labor intensive, 150 layers of deliciousness of the Layered Potato. Maria enjoyed the Vietnamese dino rib accompanied by horseradish mashed potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts. And this gluten free vegetarian was pleased with Lion's Mane Rice Wrap. Next time we we leave room for dessert and hopefully they will have a gluten free option.
We've been loyal weekly customers of Nonna's for almost 3 years now since we moved to the area. I love their white spinach pizza and their pasta primavera (with pesto). I've only had their gluten free food but my family loves the regular pizza, chicken parm and spaghetti & meatballs for the kids. We usually get takeout but have never had bad service when we dined in. They are kid friendly as well and my kids loved the Valentine's Day lollipops at the register on the way out last night!
