Easily 5 Stars for the Commentary in Arlington, recently launched in a brilliantly designed and modern space, is going to be one of my new favorite restaurants in the area. The food is *really* good. Modern American fare with well-executed classics made with quality ingredients paired with great drinks. We honestly could not decide which appetizer to order because they all sounded so good. Although I am not gluten free, my wife is, and I almost ordered one of the Gluten Free dishes just because it sounded so great. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Also really good service which seems more and more rare these days. The space is cool - and open, but not loud at all, which is perfect. We'll be back next week. Glad to have this new great option right in the heart of Ballston.

Great find for those in the VA square area. My bubble tea was great! I noticed they've got gluten free options, health food, but also popcorn chicken and gummy bears. Something for whatever mood you're in. The place is very clean and the staff was nice and attentive.

Almost all produce and toppings are organic and/or local. The food sources are listed on the board so you know exactly where Very tasty and REAL food and knowledgable and friendly staff! Yeah, take that, Chopt! My awesome gluten and soy-free Kale-sweet potatoes-beets-sautéed mushrooms-chicken-avocado salad was outstanding! I'm coming back for more! Hard not to mention Cold jasmine green tea, completely unsweetened (thank you!!!) and oh so cooling on a hot day like this!

The Beef Egg Drop soup is my favorite. There are not a lot of gluten free options. There are some, not marked, but the staff is knowledgeable.

Was staying in a hotel around the corner from the Grand Cru in mid-August. I was greeted warmly at the front and offered my choice of seating. They have outdoor tables, but I ate inside. Not being a wine drinker, I came for the Gluten Free food as they have many choices. I liked the salmon dinner I had the first time, so I came back again for the duck. The soups I had were fabulous as well. My attentive server Erick made sure I enjoyed my meal. If I visit Arlington again I will surely come back.
