Waukesha is truly blessed with a vibrant dining scene, and Tofte's Table is a shining example of what makes this city such a great place for foodies. Exceptional doesn’t even begin to describe it! From the moment we walked through the door, we knew we were in for an incredible evening.
The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and intimate. The service? Top-notch. Our server was not only extremely knowledgeable about the menu but also made sure we had everything we needed. And the care they took to accommodate Anne’s gluten-free needs? Absolutely above and beyond. They didn’t just meet expectations; they exceeded them in every way.
Of course, the star of the evening was the food. We decided to go all in with the Chef’s Selection, a seven-course surprise tasting menu. Even though we were a party of four (and one gluten-free), they graciously made it happen for us. Every dish was amazing, both in presentation and flavor. Here’s a taste of what we had:
Duck Confit ‘Tostada’ – Crispy wonton topped with duck confit, shiitakes, bok choy, queso fresco, sesame tomatoes, and hoisin. A perfect start with layers of flavor.
Fried Chicken – This simple dish blew us away! Perfectly crispy drumsticks with coarse mustard, honey, and a maple drizzle. And the gluten-free version for Anne? Absolutely amazing and an unexpected treat. This might have been our favorite of the night!
Tomato & Burrata – Charred roma tomatoes paired with creamy burrata, red onion jam, basil olive oil, and balsamic glaze, served with grilled ciabatta. A fresh and flavorful highlight a real table pleaser.
Wisconsin Kielbasa – Butternut and russet hash, sautéed kale and Brussels sprouts, pickled red cabbage, and coarse mustard aioli. This dish brought together the perfect balance of savory and tangy.
Gulf Shrimp – Sautéed shrimp served over cheese ravioli with a sun-dried tomato cream, sautéed shallots, spinach, red bell peppers, asparagus, and fried parsnips.
Braised Short Ribs – Melt-in-your-mouth short ribs over parmesan risotto, with honey-glazed carrots and radishes in a rich braising reduction. The definition of elevated comfort food.
And for dessert? Sticky Toffee Bread Pudding and a Flourless Chocolate Cake (GF). Both were decadent, indulgent, and the perfect way to end an unforgettable meal.
The evening was nothing short of fantastic, and we can’t thank Jason and Cristina Tofte enough for the impeccable experience they’ve created. From the thoughtful accommodations to the warm, welcoming atmosphere, everything about Tofte’s Table is designed to make you feel at home while treating you to something truly special.
If you haven’t been yet, make a reservation and prepare for an unforgettable evening. Tofte’s Table is not just a restaurant—it’s a destination every foodie needs to visit!
We’ll be back soon!

One of the best places to eat at in Waukesha! Only place in Waukesha I trust for great tacos & guacamole. Also they have plenty of gluten - free options too. Great food, great service, and excellent hospitality. Recommended to me by Bridge Church. I've been here a handful of times and it's always good.😊 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌮🌯🥙🥑🥣🍹

Yesterday I had the opportunity to meet the owner of the restaurant. My family and I were looking for a place to eat and wandered into Mia’s. The owner was extremely accommodating and made a wonderful experience. The regular and gluten free pizza was really great and the garlic bread is amazing. I do believe that the quality control is obviously better when the owner is in as I had been there one time before and found my garlic bread to be more dry. This time around it was dripping with butter and flavorful. I have nothing negative to say as there obviously will be some difference with the owner not present and the amount of customers being significantly larger than this time I went.
I just wanted to leave a review thanking him for his time and letting Miss know what a wonderful experience we had.

Stopped in for lunch on recommendation from Duluth Trading employee. Wow! What a show-stopper! Sat at sushi bar, had a lovely experience. Recommendation from sushi chef was spot-on, utterly delicious, like a religious experience. Will definitely be back! Server was attentive and fast. No problem requesting gluten-free soy sauce. Green tea was the best!
Great vibes for a Friday fish fry, with light and crispy fish, but go for the fries over the potato pancakes for the best experience!

Went on a Friday for the fish fry. Fish was light and crispy. The potato pancakes would have been good if they were hot. They were very good about my sister in-laws gluten allergie. Waitress was on point. I would recommend this place if you want a good fish fry. And I would stick with the fries instead of the potato pancakes
