I travel to KC for work and love all of the GF options in the area but this is by FAR my favorite !! Great Happy Hour, friendly staff (Hannah and Ross are my faves but everyone is great) and the Gluten Free selection is simply the best. They have a gluten free fryer, pasta, a GF bun, and many other options. Pictured is the Spicy Shrimp Diablo, it is truly spicy !!!
Known for its expertise in handling dietary restrictions, this spot reassures guests with knowledgeable service and excellent menu options.

tl;dr: Jessica -- and the restaurant -- knew how to handle our gluten-free requirements and put us at ease doing so.
A member of the family has late-onset gluten intolerance and we have not been going to restaurants but we heard The Bristol knew about GF cooking. We tried them and our server, Jessica, gave is the GF menu and assured us the kitchen knew how to avoid cross-contamination. She did an excellent job putting us at ease and making appropriate suggestions and explaining what was safe to eat. The food, as always, was excellent, however, what we will remember is how our server helped us understand and exercise our options.
Affordable lunch specials, attentive service, and a delightful menu make this spot a go-to for a satisfying dining experience.

The food is so dang good; I almost cried the house salad was so delicious. I was not crazy about the bread service, but everything else (fried okra, jambalaya, red beans & rice, house salad) was amazing. The cocktails were also delicious and worth coming coming for those alone. Staff was also very accommodating to my partners gluten allergy and helped us pick out something on the menu they could eat.
Service was really good, between being seated, served our food and drinks, and even the manager stopping by at the end of our meal. Only issue was that food came out tragically slow, like, there for two hours slow. But, we weren't in a hurry and it made our date night much more relaxed and enjoyable. Not sure if it was an issue with the kitchen or if waitstaff had relayed to the kitchen that we had no other plans, but just be aware.
The restaurant was pretty empty on a Thursday night and at one point, my wife and I were the only ones. Not the fault of the restaurant, just wish it was a more hopping place. Decor was fine, a little confusing what the vibe the restaurant was going for. But if you're going to a place for the atmosphere in Wichita, what's wrong with you?
A must-visit stop with mind-blowing dishes, charming service, and a welcoming vibe perfect for travelers passing through.

My husband and I stopped there traveling from Colorado to Oklahoma. I have celiac and have a hard time eating away from my "home area" because of that. They do have a separate gluten free menu which made my life much easier. We ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp as an appetizer, and it was mind blowing. For entrees I ordered the lime grilled chicken and highly recommend that. My husband ordered the ribeye and on his first bite closed his eyes in bliss. We also had the cheesy corn, pit smoked beans, and veggie skewers. Everything was fabulous and we will definitely be stopping again when we come back through. Our server was an absolute sweetheart and kept our drinks fresh and let us know the status of our order from time to time. When she found out we were traveling, she proactively offered us to-go drinks and wished us safe travels. So whether you're traveling through or in the area, we both highly recommend you stop in and give them a try.
A vibrant spot perfect for special occasions, known for attentive service and a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Mel was AMAZING tonight and had our orders down to the T. My wife has celiac disease and she was very aware of what she could and could not have. If you haven't been it's a must!!
Excellent food and excellent service. My wife and I split the shrimp poboy with lobster bisque/sauce and the seafood "cajun" boil with crawfish, shrimp, mussels, corn on the cob with a thick spicy sauce along with a side order of rice to help capture all the delicious drippings. It was excellent and delicious. There is enough left over for an entire other meal for both of us as well.
Our daughter got the crab leg boil with potatoes and corn in the garlic butter sauce with cajun spices on the side. Didn't taste hers but she said it was really good.
Our daughter has celiac disease and so gluten is and issue and all of the boils there can be gluten free with the right sauce selection. She also had an excellent flour-less chocolate cake that I did taste and it was delicious. So this place is very celiac friendly. She has bad reactions if eaten directly but seems to do okay with shared fryers, cookers, etc and doesn't require dedicated gluten free equipment, so take note if you do need that level of reaction that they do use shared boilers, cookers so cross contamination is a concern if that is an issue for you. It wasn't for us.
The service was also excellent and our server was timely, polite, energetic and did a great job.
This place opened a while back and people started flocking to it, and I always am pretty cynical about new places as they do well for a while whether they are good or not, but this place does it right.
I normally review 5 star ratings for only the "best of" each category. Best pizza place? 5 stars. Best sushi place? 5 stars. Don't know how this stacks up to other comparable cajun/southern seafood places...we find them so infrequently....but it deserves 5 stars.
Get ready for expertly cooked seafood that’ll make you feel right at home, even if you’re from the coast!

This was so good! I tried oysters for the first time and they were great! They had a gluten friendly option and were able to accommodate for my other allergy. Cam was our server and she was very attentive and helpful! We will definitely be back!
