Gluten Free selections available on a designated menu. Hubby is GF. He enjoyed his fish. Smaller portion but I'm sure it was all based on market price of the fish. I believe it was Maui? Wish I believe is more expense anywhere. Non gluten-free hush puppies were out of this world along with chowder and fried trout and okra.

At bar with buddy - Feb 2024. Mentioned a touch of celiac disease in an effort to have them remove the sauces from the vegetable and fish - unfortunately, came out completely unseasoned (gun shy) - nevertheless - the fish (salmon) was very good, and the asparagus was cooked properly - so all in all - very good and recommended - just ask for them to remove items you don't want but DO NOT tell them you may have an aversion to such items - as they go over the top. Still very recommended - with only reservation towards the mentioned... Had they done as I asked - oil and salt on asparagus and simple dry seasonings on the salmon - it would have been near 5 star. Great experience! We had the raw oysters, peel 'n' eat shrimp, and french fries. They were all very good but as a french fry connoisseur I can say that the fries were amazing. They even have a gluten free menu (limited entree options but still worth it imo). Plus the view of the river is great.

My family and I ate here for Christmas Eve dinner and had a lovely experience! I am celiac, and they were very knowledgeable about cross contamination etc. and they had a gluten free cornbread!! Great food & a fun wine selection, my MIL had their orange wine which paired very nicely with their oysters & seafood apps. We will definitely be back!!

RX Chicken and Oysters offers an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. The restaurant's interior design is warm and inviting with an artistic flair. The service is exceptional, with a staff that goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcomed and cared for. The food menu shines with delicious, creative dishes that utilize fresh, high-quality ingredients. On our recent visit, we began with Lucy Bea's oysters, which were incredibly fresh and flavorful. For our main courses, my husband ordered the fried chicken, collard greens, and mac and cheese, while I had the fish and pork tacos. Everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. My husband raved about his chicken and sides, and I loved the tacos' combination of tastes and textures. The sweet potato fries with their dipping sauce were the ideal accompaniment. We were delighted that the staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating regarding my gluten sensitivity. To finish our meal on a sweet note, we shared the ice cream with chocolate covered bacon - an ingenious and tasty dessert. From start to finish, RX Chicken and Oysters impressed us with their outstanding food, stellar service, and inviting ambiance. We can't wait to return soon.

While visiting the amazing Wrightsville Beach, and celebrating an upcoming Birthday, we searched for the perfect place for dinner, views, food options, reviews, location, with option to dress up. Bridge Tender hit the mark! I made reservations online, super easy. We arrived to a beautiful handwritten card thanking us for choosing them!! Wow! Our server, I believe Philip? was so attentive, informative, helpful with menu. We have some gluten & nut allergies but that was not an issue. The meal was spactular! Chowder was out of this world, salmon was perfect, chicken so tender! warm bread on the table & lots of wine/drink options. Not a flaw to be found, and we can’t wait to come back!!! We had reservations for 9 which was easily accommodated. The space and atmosphere was great. 4 of us ordered the butchers cut (14 oz ribeyes $45) and while they were all cooked correctly, mine wasn’t hot and they were all bland/didn’t seem to be seasoned at all and tough. My husband ordered the burger and they had a gluten free bun which was wonderful for him! The brussel sprouts and chocolate mouse cake was delicious! The server was great and the timing of food was reasonable. One reason we booked this restaurant was because they had parking on site in the parking deck, but it was full so we had to park really far away in another deck and walk which made some of our party late for our reservations so be aware of that if you’re having dinner there and not staying at the hotel.

My boyfriend and I placed online orders and picked them up. I ordered the mahi mahi with rice and broccoli. He ordered the parmesan crusted rainbow trout with mashed potatoes, cole slaw, and the steamed mussels. My fish was overcooked which made it less enjoyable to eat. When opening the box of steamed mussels, my boyfriend picked out a piece of plastic in his food. I also asked for my meal to come without bread as I have a gluten allergy that I noted on my order, however it still came with bread. The rainbow trout was ice cold and bland. Either the plastic in the food or the cold fish has severely upset my boyfriend’s stomach. While I am not one to leave reviews, we had an unsatisfactory experience and hope that this can help improve the service for other guests going forward.

Great service and food. They helped us celebrate birthdays and anniversary. Menu has some different dishes that are very tasty. Chef did a great job preparing gluten free to accommodate Celiac's. Unexpected excellence in an unexpected location! Plan to return!
