This is a solid pick for sushi in South Baltimore.
The staff is attentive and accommodating, especially Shay - she's just a top notch server that makes the place feel like home. Tell her your allergies and they can do nut free, and gluten free without fear of contamination.
Long list of specialty rolls and a little light on the standards. Specifically missing things like a sashimi platter and ramen/udon. They more than make up for this with their salads though. Try the spicy tuna salad - it is an entire meal unto itself.
Kid friendly and very clean. Bathrooms are especially nice but lacking a changing table. Street parking only but not much of a walk from the garage by cross street market.
They open at 5pm, so stop in for a couple rolls and sake, then walk to Chatime, Taharka Brothers in cross street market or Bmore licks a little further north for your dessert.
Shoyu is a little pricier than your other sushi takeout spots, but it is worth it.
