Jesse’s is exactly what you hope for from a community café and bakery. Friday’s heavy customer traffic immediately indicates you’re in a beloved venue. The bakery can be charmingly shambolic, but you’ll be well taken care of by staff. Zip through the opening to the quieter café side for a great place to work or calmly catch up with friends.
A big menu makes choosing a little difficult, though you’re in luck with standard Israeli favourites like shashuka matches against traditional Aussie fare like eggs Benedict and Thai salads. The food comes out piping hot and in big portions.
The coffee hits the mark, as well the smoothies on offer - ideal if you’re pondering your thoughts a little more heavily.

I had the best coffee I have had in a very long time today at Bitton Rose Bay. I then tempted fate and had the Croque Madame on gluten free bread. Gluten free is always a bit of a gamble but sweet lord it was exceptional! I am not in Sydney very often as I live 2 hours away, but I will go out of my way to specifically visit your cafe next time I am down. To top of an already delicious meal, we received mini creme brulee's and that is where I died and went to heaven! Thank you for the ridicously good food and the sensational service!

Today I went to visit this place, I personally love pastries and finding something organic, gluten free, delicious and at a good price seemed charming to me. I fell in love with the pistachio macarons and the small delicacies and even though the place was early at closing time, the girls treated me very kindly. Thank you 😁
