Cafe Melzar is our favourite place in Mount Gambier for breakfast or lunch and we visit regularly! All the menu items we have tried are delicious and there are plenty of gluten free options. Staff are friendly and helpful.
We ordered coffee and a piece of cake. They brought the wrong cake even though we pointed at the one in the display that we wanted to make sure they understood we wanted the chocolate cake from the bottom shelf and not the chocolate one on the middle shelf. Bringing the wrong cake is not a big deal on its own but the way they dealt with it was pretty disappointing as if we were in the wrong and not them. They wouldn’t bring us the cake we had ordered. To be clear we ordered the gluten free cake but they brought one with gluten! What if someone is gluten intolerant?!

25 Acres is my number one choice for takeaway. I love that I can order top quality food that meets our families dietary needs. Their gluten free pizzas are THE best in town, and they have awesome lactose free items available too.
The staff are sensational and are not only efficient at their job, but are also warm and welcoming. Would most definently recommend 25 Acres to everyone.
Not the same as it used to be. Chicken burger paddy was 1/3 of the size i was expecting/ used to receiving. Chips were cold and almost like they had been sitting for 30 minutes before order was picked up. Gluten free burger bun was tough like it was a week old, again not like it used to be. Disappointing value for something that was expected to be really good.

Passing through Mt Gambier for a few days, we stopped by a few coffee shops. We’ve come back to this place at least 3 times during our stay - the best coffee experience we’ve had in Mt Gambier. Always consistent, extremely speedy and the gluten free chocolate chip brownie was great too ! Small number of seats for a small quick bite and great for takeaway coffees. Thanks guys !

Very nice vegetarian food, gluten free curries, so good and easy for us as we had few people in our group with limited food options, and this place solved our problem. Daal tadka was so delicious like home made and butter naan were so soft and tasty.
