Please bring back your old gluten free butter tarts!! They were so good and tasted just like a regular one. I don't know if the recipe has changed, but they aren't as gooy anymore! Otherwise, good gluten free items and sandwiches are yummy!
We make a couple of trips from Toronto to Niagara a year and like so many other reviewers, we have seen the Lakehouse Restaurant but never stopped in. This time we made a conscious decision to stop on our way home for lunch and are we ever glad we did!!
Obviously the location and views are stellar. However what made this experience so special was the food and the service. Our server, Ashley, could not have been nicer or more attentive even with it being so busy. In fact, all the staff we interacted with were so nice and helpful. The food was excellent!! My husband had the lamb burger and I had the goat & beet salad with the gluten free bread plate. The Lakehouse offers little desserts which were perfect to top off the lunch....we highly recommend the skors or the dark chocolate, raspberry, orange desserts.
Reservations are recommended although we were accommodated without one.
The atmosphere was so relaxed and enjoyable and we cannot wait to go back.
There was no waitresses.. strange. and I have celiac disease and ate here and now am in extreme pain due to eating my sandwich.
I will never come back here again
I have celiac disease and this is the restaurant I felt the safest ever eating at. They made sure my celiac was written down when ordering and the food was sooo delicious. Best gluten free brownie I’ve ever had. They have dedicated fryers. They have a wheelchair accessible ramp. Very helpful staff. Great job guys! I’ll be back in the future!
Gluten free!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I'm gluten free (sensitivity) and being able to eat all but the macaroni of the moonshine platter was a highlight of a roadtrip.
The food was outstanding, atmosphere fantastic but best of all was the service. Niki was knowledgeable, friendly and made me feel so comfortable with my GF requirements.
And best of the pop up bakery, where I got to experience GF churros!!
I always enjoy the gluten free pizzas from Pizza Central! I would give 5 stars but the wings were really overcooked. This was our first time ordering the wings too. I would still highly recommend the gluten free and regular crust pizzas!
Amazing authentic food. Something for everyone, and always so considerate and aware of food sensitivities. Gluten free and vegan customers will be pleased.
Great spot for breakfast or lunch.
Kids loved their big plates of pancakes (about 8 x 4" pancakes!!) and crispy bacon. Large portions of good food. 2 of our group ordered the Poached Eggs & Tomatoes, which included sliced fresh tomato, a serving of cooked vegetables and a toasted English muffin. They have gluten-free bread available. One of the specials featured corned beef hash. Good coffee. Very cool decor featuring real vintage advertising and antiques. Lots of tables for 1-4 people, plus a couple of larger tables that seat 10. Excellent service from the lovely Parminder. Everything is clean and bright, including the washrooms. Plenty of parking. Highly recommend!
Too good! If you crave unique local pizza flavours/options, solid music and good vibes, and friendly service by Alex & Meagan. It's a staple in the community, and a great local, family-friendly bar/restaurant on a night out.
I'm gluten-free and had the spinach and artichoke dip pizza with an Alfredo sauce. They're very considerate of allergies, which is a bonus.
You can't go wrong!
