Stopped here for lunch today in the 27 degree heat! We opted to sit indoors as it was lovely and cool inside the cafe.
There were a lot of options on the menu that were either gluten free, or could be made GF on request. I had the gluten free cheese and tomato toastie, which was really surprisingly delicious (gluten free bread is normally not very good at all). It was a perfect sized portion for me, and the cheese was lovely and melty. Husband had the sausage and onion bap which he said was really good. We shared a portion of chips which came out lovely and hot and were nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle.
The waitress working there today was lovely - really friendly and helpful which made the experience that much better. Service was quick and efficient.
Some lovely offerings in the gift shop too, and beautiful artwork displayed around the cafe that is available to buy. If you are able to sit outside then you’d get a lovely view out to the sea.
We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxed, friendly place with a good, tasty GF lunch (they also have many vegan options) and a drink. If we are back in Seaton then we will likely visit again.
Charming beachside cafe with a cozy vibe, stunning sea views, and a variety of treats, perfect for families and dog lovers alike.

I want to start by saying that the cafe is in a lovely location with stunning views, and that my boyfriend had a lovely lunch (cheddar & ham ploughman’s, brownie, flat white).
However, i unfortunately did not have a great experience with the food here. I ordered a prawn mayo sandwich, an iced chai and a lemon pistachio slice. The sandwich had too much mayo, and was quite tasteless, it was also quite expensive for what it was (£12). The chai is made with a flavoured syrup rather than actual chai powder, meaning the drink was just sweet milk in a glass and I ordered a shot of espresso separately to make it a bit nicer. The lemon slice was quite dry (I noticed it was gluten free, so perhaps it was due to the type of ingredients used).
I’m sure there are other items on the menu which are lovely, and my experience is just a bit unfortunate.
A charming spot with a warm vibe, known for its welcoming atmosphere, quick service, and delicious homemade dishes that impress all.

Expect delicious dishes with a variety of unique options and impressive portions, but be ready for some higher prices.

We ate in here whilst in the area on holiday and have to say what a great place. They do gluten free chips and gluten free curry sauce AS STANDARD! Plus, lots of gluten free options for fish without batter. Everything was delicious. Service was impeccable!

The food is consistently excellent. We always go when we are in Seaton, Flipside is good value. Recently they have started to do a cheesecake dessert which are equally as delicious as the burgers. They also do gluten free burger buns.
