Lovely Italian pub style food. They have a range of vegetarian and gluten free options available which taste just as good as the regular menu items.
Pleasantly surprised and if you like Nana Francas food then you will be happy here as I believe it’s the same group.
Highly recommend and would go again!
Our go-to Italian restaurant. The food is superb and is equalled by the efficient and friendly staff.
Lively atmosphere and reasonable prices. A popular venue with a comprehensive gluten free menu, booking is strongly advised.
Quite a small place but to be expected from a small cafe type establishment. All food is exclusively vegan with some gluten free options. Food was reasonable but but not the best
Was served by Jamie, very nice guy and really helpful. The pub is nice and clean and the drinks are great. Have a selection of non gluten foods and child friendly
The fry up is the old English fry up,which is delicious. I had a gluten breakfast & the only fault I had was the mushrooms should of been sliced not whole as they were very watery.
Travelled from boro to try, wasn't disappointed. Got the gluten free animal style double double. Staff where friendly helpful. Will definitely be returning
Seaglass Cafe is brilliant for any food lover but even more so for those that suffer with dietary requirements.
As a coeliac, it’s such a treat to have a wide & varied menu that’s clearly labelled with knowledgable staff who can confidently advise and recommend delicious freshly made food.
Yesterday I had a special sandwich made to takeaway (on my short lunch break). I was welcomed in like an old friend
Previous visits I’ve had the beautiful avo toast and attempted to work my way through their awesome cake menu.
Fabulous and a real treasure to any Sunderland based foodies
We had an excellent home cooked meal, but what impressed me the most was the care and attention they gave to my son who has Coeliac disease- it can be difficult to find restaurants that we feel confident to take him to, but I would return here any day of the week.
Really nice views over the river from this restaurant. I'm a coeliac and most of the dishes could be adapted Gluten Free but be careful of their cocktails as mine came served with a massive sprig of wheat sticking out of it (they were very apologetic and replaced it with a gluten free drink). Food was quite good but gluten free pasta wasn't amazing, though it rarely is. Will try the GF pizzas next time.
We had an absolutely fantastic time. I am gluten free and they were able to advise which dishes I could have. The food was delicious.
Our server was lovely, she chatted like we were old friends. We'll definitely be coming back 😄
