The manager and chef wS extremely helpful in organising our meal. I am gluten free and they was extremely helpful in pointing out what I could and could not have from the menu. The service was fast and all the staff very accommodating.

My fav place to go for a quiet drink or coffee. The staff are always friendly and happy to help. Nice variety of drinks on the menu from softs, coffees and cocktails. The atmosphere is warm and cosy inside. Has a lovely outside seating area for those warmer days. It's dog friendly too which is a bonus. Only reason I marked food down by 1 star is there are limited gluten free options. What I have eaten there though was lovely. Definitely recommend.

We had the pleasure of celebrating my partner's 50th birthday at this incredible restaurant, and I can't recommend it enough! The authentic Italian food is absolutely outstanding – the steak was out of this world and the best garlic bread we've ever tasted. They also catered perfectly for gluten-free guests, which was a huge bonus. The customer service was exceptional; the staff went above and beyond to make the evening truly special for all of us. From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel welcome and well taken care of. This place is a real gem, and we'll definitely be back! highly recommended

I'll never eat here again. I placed the order over the phone and was told each item I could eat which was gluten free and safe for me. They had double checked this with the kitchen staff too. I was apprehensive but asked a couple times if they are sure it's gluten free and they reassured me it was. My food took an hour to arrive. I ate it and it tasted lovely. An hour after finishing it, I was horrendously ill and in agony. There was either an issue with writing with my order down correctly, the kitchen not using GF ingredients or a cross contamination issue. I would absolutely avoid this takeaway if you have any sort of allergies, intolerances or auto immune diseases.

Bottomless brunch with the girls was a great experience. Jess was very attentive and made sure we never went without drinks. My gluten free chilli bowl was fantastic, as were the cocktails!

OMG gluten free heaven ! These guys are incredible. They recently did a pop up at cheesefest (as they are available for hire). They are incredibly knowledgeable about gluten free. Everybody at the festival had nothing but amazing words to say about the food and the owners who are just lovely. In the shop in Newport, they also do the most delicious gluten free flapjack….. must have ! 100% my favourite place to eat 😊

Fantastic little place. Cheerful, helpful staff and exceptionally tasty food. Coconut Dhal was beautiful (as was the complimentary taster of black dhal!) Good coffee and cake to follow. Gluten free and vegetarian well catered for. Thoroughly recommend.

Gluten Free - amazing experience!! My family went to Nando’s in Newport yesterday, 2 are gluten free. They offered the GF options straight away, made sure the chefs knew, washed the prep area before handling the food and when it came was delicious!! Real care and attention by all.

Called in on on the weekend for coffee and ice cream. As a coeliac, need to eat gluten free. All the ice cream they have is a "may contain" gluten. Staff were lovely about it, but couldn't have anything. Went home instead.

Perfection Second week in a row eating here so will review both visits. 1st time we were looking for somewhere to have a nice meal following a day out in Cardiff. Called Shoboraj at 1800 on a Saturday and a very helpful chap managed to squeeze us in. Second visit was yesterday where we took the coeliac, gluten intolerant, elderly Father in Law out for dinner. 1. Parking - Parking was easy and there is lots of available spaces both outside the restaurant and in nearby side streets. 2. Initial thoughts - Restaurant was clean & tidy and the team provided a warm welcome. Decor was traditional and inviting with well spaced tables providing ample room (not squeezed in likensome places). 3. Drinks - Excellent wine list and good selection of beers, soft drinks, spirits etc. 4. Menu - A good selection of both traditional and innovative options.The menu options were smaller than other restaurant in the area which Is unusually indicative of better quality as less ingredients need to be stored. 5. The food - Where to start on my first visit I had a chicken takeaway Balti which was served in a cast iron Korai. The taste was exquisite with the herbs and spices clearly fresh and prepared correctly (none of the musty/bland aged spices you get in some place). Good quality meat all served with a fresh Naan and a selection of sides. On the Second Visit I plumped for the Thali which was the equivalent of anything I've eaten on Brick Lane. Fresh, tasty and a fantastic mix. My Father in Law was concerned as a Celiac/Gluten intolerant elderly gentleman that his needs might not be made, the actuality was the opposite. The friendly waiter took the time to go through the menu with an allergy book and selected the lamp chops with him. On arrival lamb chops were phenomenal and in his own words "the best lamb I've eaten in 81 years", he's still waxing lyrical this morning and want to go back tonight and eat them again. 10 out of 10 for food. 6. Service - Impeccable, professional attentative staff who are knowledgeable about the food and happy to offer advice, good quality tableware and furniture and toilets so clean you could eat your food in them. In summation an absolute Gem, we have found our home.

Had this booked for a,few weeks. When we arrived was told ir was only tapas menu. I said I wasn't happy with that as 2 of us has food allergy & gluten free. After the waiter spoke to the chef he happily obliged & gave us some choices off the main menu. The food was really very nice. The place is in the process of refurbishment & the toilets really need updating. But all that said I would go again

Had the prawn linguine earlier today, and being coeliac, need gluten free so they replaced the linguine with GF fusilli. They keep gluten free pasta in stock, and seemed very clued up. Was really tasty. Great addition to the market.
