I recently had the pleasure of eating at The New Deli with my cousin and let me tell you: we'll be back with more of the family soon! Located in Pinole this place has been serving the community for over 37 years, and it's clear why it's a local favorite. My cousin ordered the Meatball Sub while I indulged in Pasta Carbonara. Both dishes were fantastic. Despite being busy, the service was quick and efficient—we didn't have to wait long for our orders at all. It's great to see a place that takes pride in using so many natural ingredients. From homemade soups and dressings made with 100% olive oil to their all-natural chicken and beef, it's clear that quality is a top priority. Tried Greek food for the first time. This was really good. The meat was quality and the sauces were flavorful. The best part for us was that this Pinole location specifically has a dedicated fryer and grill for gluten free food so that means my wife can comfortably order food here. The atmosphere is very casual dining and small but food and service was excellent. There was a decent amount of food too, I was full. THANK YOU!! :-D

Gets pretty busy but the food is always great for the money. I've been eating here for 20+ years and they're the best burgers (and fries) in California. There are vegetarian options and several non burger, non sandwich options, too. 2023 update: Now there are Gluten-free bread and bun options! Good for the intolerant but probably still a little risky for those allergic to wheat. But added to the extensive menu options, I'm grateful.
