Lovely little place in downtown SB that you'd never know was gluten-free if you didn't ask! Food was delicious, and they clearly put great care into their decor, tableware, and other accents. Save room for dessert, if you can!
This cozy spot offers a delightful variety of organic, vegan, and seasonal options, perfect for a quick bite or a leisurely brunch.

I love this place so greatly, when I lived downtown I would eat here on the regular. The best thing is it is very inclusive of most diets and has a pretty nice selection of vegan and gluten free items, including at some times of year seasonal cakes and pies.. yumm..
However, today in summertime, their were more choices in the salad and entree bar; including some delicious looking pasta salads, and did I mention how high quality all the ingredients are? Today I kept it simple, and got the gluten free vegan snickerdoodle cookies. They are like puffs of sweet satisfying heaven. I can have few with a small latte and just allow my mind to travel and vacation for a moment. The latte which I had for their, in a cup, making it all the more cozy was divine. Steamed well as for the almond mylk, and had a lovely sweet nutty flavor to the espresso. Very quick service btw.
Thats the beauty of this place is you can go and get a latte and nosh, or an entire meal and perhaps some wine.. I will keep coming back and have heard the best things about the owner, thanks for such a delectable space🙏🏽

The atmosphere is really nice. I came here to try the quiche and gluten free baked goods. The blueberry gluten free muffin was quite small and mildly flavored. I got a much bigger and better one at Helena Ave Bakery.
I read the reviews raving about the quiche and I don’t get the hype. It’s a slice of a basic quiche. It’s nice the crust is gluten free but it was quite thick crust and the quiche was not freshly made…maybe it was fresh from the morning, I got there around 10:40am. But it was reheated and cold in the middle.

Popular restaurant and bakery in downtown Santa Barbara. Great place for breakfast on the weekends. A wide variety of Danish baked goods along with some other non-Danish items. Some gluten-free items also available. All the baked items I’ve tried were good to very good. Depending on the item, you may be able to ask for a small taste before purchase.
Many items available by the piece for dine-
in or takeout, as well as entire baked items such as pies, cakes, and large pastries. Special occasion cakes can also be pre-ordered, such as birthday cakes.
Indoor and outdoor dining available, with outdoor dining being a good place to people watch as this block tends to be somewhat busy with pedestrian traffic. Parking available via multiple nearby public lots off of Chapala Street and Anacapa Street. Boutique shopping also available in the nearby La Arcada shopping center.
I chose Empty Bowl because most noodle places can accommodate vegans, but I discovered that they didn’t really have a dedicated vegan dish. I was craving rice noodles and veggies, and the staff was very accommodating. The person who took my order was patient and helpful when I requested no tofu and extra vegetables.
However, I was disappointed with the dish I received. It was mostly noodles, with fewer vegetables than I would expect after requesting extra. The sauce was also much saltier than I prefer. They also didn’t have many gluten-free options, and when I asked about MSG, the person taking my order wasn’t sure if it was used in the food. Since I prefer to avoid MSG, this was a concern for me.
I do like the community atmosphere of the food court, as it’s nice to have options that cater to both me as a vegan and my husband, who isn’t. However, the space was quite tight, and with sports games playing, it was louder than I’d prefer. A little more quiet and space between restaurants would enhance the experience.
A must-visit spot with amazing drinks and desserts that leaves a lasting impression, perfect for a post-race treat.

Wonderful dinner. Stopped by while passing through on a Monday evening mid March 2025 after Grand Prix. Amazing food, catered to gluten allergies and best drinks and dessert I’ve had in months. I hope to return every time I pass through after the races. Just absolutely incredible!!

I'm not used to eating at Gluten free restaurants, but this place had some surprising dishes. First off, wasn't too excited to be going here in the first place. Not much looked appealing. Ordered the salmon. And I was pleasantly surprised. It was very tasty. Also had this Kung pow cauliflower appetizer (I hate cauliflower) that was so delicious. Wow, so good! Overall, it was a great experience.

I ordered the Roman’s chocolate coconut (dairy free) it was really good I could barely feel the difference if it had dairy or not. Downside I ordered a cone gluten free (I wasn’t thinking clearly) and well I’m not allergic to gluten so for me it was not a good taste and barely crunchy. But for next time I’ll think it through better. I’m coming back and I recommend you to try their ice cream. For a hot day or night this is a great spot.

First time here. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful even though it was extremely busy. The chips and salsas were very good and gluten-free. I had the chicken enchiladas. I requested extra sauce and sliced radishes. It was delicious. My companion had the steak fajitas, the meat was cooked to perfection but it was a bit bland. On the plus side they have lots of gluten-free choices.
We really enjoyed our meal & celebrating our 20th Anniversary dinner! We had the gluten free pasta with Alfredo & the egg plant rolatini and they were both delicious! A big thank you to Brandon, our waiter who made the evening nice & shared a great hiking spot recommendation. Which we did go on the next day!! Thank you Chase Restaurant we felt safe & had plenty of space!
The Pho is flavorful and satisfying.
As someone who can't eat gluten, The cauliflower crust for the gluten free pizza is hardly a compromise.
Fantastic owners as well!
Will keep coming back.

Authentic Japanese Sushi. If you are used to American Sushi the serving sizes are on the small end but lovingly crafted. Rotating list of specials, so some days you may have wagyu and other days you may have uni and other days you have something you never heard of before. Big plus if you are into surprises and trying new things, but a bit of a change from American restaurants that serve the same thing every day. Don't go if you are in a rush. Do go when you have time to savor the food. They do have some gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options if you ask politely. Chief's name is Teru
Dropped in from out of town. My girlfriend and I are vegan and gluten free so not always a ton of choices. So lucky to have found satellite. They were so accommodating and understanding, with tons of vegan and gluten free choices. Everything was amazing, food was fresh, colourful and delicious. Service was on point; fast, friendly and knowledgeable. Can't recommend this place enough and will come here whenever we are in town!
I highly recommend this place. The service is great, happy clean environment. I am gluten free and ate the soft tacos made to how I wanted them with a side of rice and they were delicious. My husband is vegan and got the enchiladas (there’s a nice size vegan menu) and said they were delicious. The portions are big so come hungry. Friends got the chimichanga and nachos and the portions were huge and I was told they were delicious. They have several different sauces my favorite was the chunky tomato. Others with me got the churros and loved them, they come in six. If you are gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, or have no dietary restrictions you will be satisfied. We were in Solvang and came to SB twice and ate at Rudy’s for lunch. Highly recommend!

Since visiting Oaxaca many years ago, I have yet to experience such incredible moles and foods. Truly one of the best meala I've had in Santa Barbara. The drinks, entrees, and dishes are rich, complex, bright, acidic and perfectly spiced. The moles are gluten free and there were many vegetarian options as well. Took my partner there for his birthday and were blown away by the incredible service and taste.

Alessia Patisserie is hands down the best bakery in Santa Barbara! The best pastries, breakfast and lunch and the most lovely atmosphere. The service is always welcoming, friendly, and efficient. My boyfriend loves all the pastries and I love that there are delicious gluten free options as well (which is so rare!) I go almost weekly for pastries/coffee and Gabby made me the most beautiful birthday cake. Alessia, Brigitte, and their staff do an amazing job ensuring the quality, food, and experience are top notch. Alessia Patisserie is a MUST and I cannot recommend it enough!

Free parking across the street. Very fast service. Excellent sandwiches. Incredibly, the gluten free bread is also good. Nearby there is a Gino's pizza, which is a speck for an Italian. Much better Pastrami & Deli.

$85 for dinner for 2 without drinks. The food here was amazing. They helped me pick and make gluten free selections. Our waitress, Gabriella, was one of the coolest humans we've ever met. 5 stars all around. I don't have anything bad to say. Come eat here.
