Incredibly gluten friendly - has so many options that are GF and marks everything on the menu that’s GF! Also has tons of vegan options. Cauliflower crust was awesome. So accommodating for dietary restrictions.

I absolutely love this place. My mom is in hospice and the soups they have there she loves them. It doesn’t have a lot of salt. A lot of them are gluten-free, but I ordered these soups maybe every other day and their chickpea salad is to die for the Moroccan lentil is to die for chicken noodle new England clam chowder, broccoli, and cauliflower. I got them all, I got this place for my mom to say thank you

Delicious food with big portions and ice cold beer. I love that the Playwright has a cozy and Irish feel but the menu is very flexible and fits a lot of different types of food (vegan and gluten free). Wait staff and bartenders are friendly and helpful. A huge fan of the large but not overwhelming selection of beers. Indoor and outdoor seating is very nice. The Playwright also does a great job of keeping social distancing guidelines and ensuring everyone wears a mask. Constant cleaning and easy access to hand sanitizer is a big plus! Highly recommend stopping here for food or drinks.

Extremely pleased with food quality, presentation (see photo) and the many choices including vegan and gluten free. When I requested a substitution of brocolli instead of baby corn it was done. Prices were reasonable for the excellent food quality. Wait/ serving staff were courteous and warm. When they noticed us trying to take a photo of our large group, they offered to take one for us. It came out perfect and will be a great memory of the wonderful time we enjoyed there.

Husband and son had pepperoni pizza, I had a gluten free pizza which was outstanding. Was made with real GF dough, not a frozen pizza shell. Thanks for making delicious pie for us GF'ers! Low key, family friendly place with self service water dispensing station which I really appreciated after a day of hiking. Bathroom very clean.

Awesome new hidden gem on Treadwell Street in Hamden. Live music, great food and a fantastic beer and cocktail list. Love the fact that you can get their crafted burgers and chicken sandwiches on a gluten free bun (and that they offer the Beyond Burger as a vegetarian option). Highly recommend!

Our first time here, and we were very pleasantly surprised! Everything was great, drinks were standout, we all got very different things and they were all delicious. I appreciated that all the drinks were super intricate and interesting, nothing standard about them. Food was great, we still have no idea what the fry sauce was, but it was amazing. Also, one of our friends has a gluten allergy and they said that the owner is also gluten free and a surprising number of menu items are gluten free or can be made so, so that's a plus. Ambiance was spectacular on a Friday night, the restaurant was buzzing and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Good music, definitely a fun spot, not stuffy. Will absolutely be coming back.

It's a good place... They put too much sauce on the pie. It's like you ordered extra sauce but it's supposed to be regular. Other than that it's fantastic. I get the gluten free because it's actually better than most of the "Big new haven places"

Great service, clean establishment, lots of dishes to choose from. I had very decent gluten free pancakes and mango lemonade, which were nevertheless a little pricey. However, I have been here numerous times and will return.

The service and all you can eat sushi was great! I tried to order GF sushi without the crisp but they kept putting it in if it already came with it. A gluten-free check box on the menu would be really appreciated.
