My wife and I love the food at Bunratty Tavern. She has a gluten sensitivity and Bunratty Tavern has one of the best selections around. We’ve been ordering from them for a couple years now and the food is always consistent. We mainly do takeout, and the staff is always welcoming and friendly when we call and pick it up. Just the other day we ordered the Rustic Flatbread, gluten free, with grilled chicken added to it. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. I ended up chatting with the owner a little bit when I was picking it up and she told me about all the work they do to ensure people with gluten intolerances have a safe place to eat (with yummy food).
They are open 7 days a week but note that they currently don’t offer takeout on Fri and Saturday evenings due to high volumes in the restaurant.

It's so fun to pop into Cupcake City for a gourmet cupcake on a whim! We are lucky to have them out here in Reading, as many such places are generally located in the big cities. And, their Cupcake Truck shows up at every town event too!
My favorite part of their cupcakes are the gorgeous, creative flavors and decorations! Actually, being a designer myself, the decorations are THE big win for me. I enjoy seeing their new cupcake designs on their social media posts, especially around every holiday. They take a theme and come up with such cute, imaginative cupcakes! They also take requests and special orders.
I'm happy that they offer vegan and gluten-free for customers as well. My only wish is that there were more flavors (and designs), and that they were offered daily for those two options.
If you haven't stopped in because you live miles away, you must plan a trip to check them out sometime. It'll be worth it to see and taste their perfect cupcake confections!
This spot is a must-visit for its super crispy general gau's chicken and unique drunken chicken with fat rice noodles, plus delicious calamari and fried rice!

We really love Oye's! They have a great gluten free menu. My personal favorite is the general Gau's Chicken. It's super crispy and flavorful. Not spicy. The drunken chicken is unexpected with fat rice noodles. The calamari comes with a lime dipping sauce. It pairs really well with the fried rice too.
A super clean spot with a cozy vibe, great smoothies, filling breakfast options, and a tempting selection of take-home foods awaits you.

Been walking down to professors market fairly often since I moved to Reading.
The first thing that you notice when you walk in is that the place is clean- like extremely clean.
The owner does his best to greet customers as they come in and it didn’t take long for them to remember my regular order.
I prefer the chunky monkey smoothie with espresso but I’ve tried other smoothies on the menu and they are all delicious.
Just tried the Porky breakfast sandwich for the first time. 100% worth the money- delicious and very filling.
They have a good selection of take-home foods, including gluten-free pastas.
If you’re debating whether or not to stop in, take it from me - professors market is always worth a stop.
Expect a cozy vibe with a lively atmosphere, delivering a flavorful experience that's worth a visit.

This is our go-to place when we feel a need to escape from my cooking. The food is good, the environment is friendly and low key. At Capri, I can eat real pasta dishes, and generally find them to be nice. My gluten-free spouse generally gets a salad of some kind or steak tips, and seems quite happy. The prices are ok. It's fun to see families with small kids and geezers all in one place. I think it's a good sign that I can go back time and again, a number of years actually, and generally see many of the same wait staff. Some of them have been there so long that I've learned their names. There's something to be said for stability.
They have good pizza, but what's nicest is that they also have gluten-free pizza that is rather decent. As a result, my spouse and I can both get pizza. The place down the street, perpendicularly from them, claims to have gluten-free pizza, but it's a pretty poor effort on their part (it doesn't help that the service in said place sucks too). So, if you want pizza in Reading, and especially if you need gluten-free pizza, Louisa's is the place to go.
