I love their coffee drinks and food. Mostly I love the people because they’re friendly, make thoughtful suggestions, and ask about allergy info when I order gluten free bread. They also partner with other local businesses, like Benny’s Bakery, to provide a big variety of baked goods and more. Great community spot!
We love Cottage Inn! They have a variety of options for all pizza lovers - gluten free to vegan! We also appreciate their generosity in giving back to the local community. Thank you for helping our school host a nice dinner!
My grandson has celiac (gluten intolerance). When I called, Mac’s assured me that staff was trained to handle food allergies. They certainly were! First, they had a large choice of options. But I was also very impressed at the care that the staff took to make sure he had nothing that had even a touch of contact with gluten. Mac’s was the most careful restaurant we’ve eaten at and my Grandson said he had the best hamburger (and gf bun) that he’s ever had anywhere. I highly recommend Mac’s for anyone who has any type of food allergy.
Excellent service. My husband had a calzone -- it was huge and delicious. I had a gluten free pizza. It was delicious. The only reason for the 4 stars is the gluten free crust was limp. I think it should have been cooked longer so the crust could have been crispy. It was difficult to pick up a piece. I had to use both hands to keep it from falling apart. But it was delicious and loaded with the toppings. Yum! The staff were super nice.
Don't miss out on this sweet little ice cream shop. They carry rotating flavors of dole whips, and have one of the best chocolate malts I've ever had. The owner is friendly and seems enthusiastic about the product she serves. She's always open to suggestions and happy to chat about the local scene and events. She caters to those who might have dietary restrictions so that they can have a sweet treat too, such as dairy free and gluten free folks. I recommend this place for its delicious ice cream and cozy atmosphere (and DO NOT skip out on the dole whip PLEASE!)
