We chose this place for a get together with some friends and our kids. It was suggested by other parents as a place for a fun and unique experience for all ages. We went on a Sunday so there wasn't much airplane action. We did get to see 1 plane take off as we were leaving. They offered a kid's menu, gluten-free options and a variety of cocktails. We went for the breakfast options: french toast for the kids, coffee, tea, french toast sandwich, mushroom toast & eggs. Our friend's had the Holman's Breakfast. All was delicious and everyone left with a content and happily filled belly. We look forward to returning in the summer to enjoy their outdoor seating and to check out the dinner menu.

Nice menu with clearly labeled items for gluten free, dairy free, vegan, etc. Food was nicely seasoned and drinks were delicious. Only caveat was the papas had an odd flavor to them with the sweet paprika.

After reading Rick Nelson's "5 best things our food writers ate in the Twin Cities this week" in the Star Tribune, I thought I'd give Arepa Bar a try. Am I glad I did! With the pandemic still in full bloom, I ordered take out for my wife and me. Pick up was easy, parking at the pickup area curb and running in to get my stuff. We shared a chicken empanada as an appetizer. It wasn't overpowering, but with the pesto aioli, it was quite tasty. It was definitely big enough to split between the two of us. It would be plenty for lunch for one. My wife had a chicken arepa for her entree. (Arepas are light white corn pockets just made for holding all the good stuff. Perfect for a gluten free eater.) It was yummy, stuffed with several tasty fillings. There is a huge variety of options for fillings, so you're almost certain to find two that you'll love. I had the pabellon criollo as my entree. It is shredded beef cooked rather like carnitas are for pork. Sides included sweet plantains, black beans, and white rice. The beef was amazingly juicy and full of flavor. It had a slightly crisp glaze that added to its appeal. The beans were also full of flavor. The plantains were perfectly sweet and tender. Even the rice was perfectly done and moist. The entree was large enough that, with the appetizer and desert, I saved half for lunch the next day. We splurged and got a flan to split for dessert. It was so good that my wife said it was better than she makes, and that's a big compliment. The pandemic has been a struggle for many of us, as most restaurants takeout just isn't quite as good as their fare when eating in the restaurant. This meal for the two of us, however, was one of the best meals I've had inside a restaurant or takeout. It was easily the best takeout I've had in the Twin Cities in the 40+ years I've lived here. Run, don't walk, to Arepa Bar and try out their menu. You'll be glad you did.

My server was Nieto G. Not only was he attentive and kind but he continued to acknowledge that he was still taking care of us when he walked by (it was busy) I have a gluten allergy and asked for a corn tortilla on an item that typically had flour… he came back from the kitchen and asked if I had an allergy, which I do. He said I realized the sauce has flour, can I suggest something else? His suggestion was superior to the typical sauce I would order, so much so that my dinner mate had to share some. I really appreciate the mindfulness to my dietary restrictions. It sucks to modify stuff and I feel like a pain. Bravo! The food was great, dinner was great but the stand out was our wonderful server. I hope you know you are appreciated
