I do gluten-free and they have items if you ask. I had the chicken egg sandwich and it was awesome! Our friend had eggs, sausage and french toast. He ate all but 3 bites! He said it was awesome. My husband had eggs, hash browns, sausage and toast. He also ate all of his food with the same comment- awesome!
Friendly, laid-back open atmosphere upstairs in the Galleria. They have a great menu with many choices. I had a large grilled cheese sandwich (with tomato soup) on gluten-free bread and enjoyed it immensely because anyone on a gluten-free diet knows how hard it is to get a grilled cheese "out". Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly, I stop by here almost every time I'm in town and will continue to do so!
Love the coffee and the staff here. Was really impressed when new ownership fixed the wifi issues--I can finally rely on it & get work done. I have to say though, as someone who is gluten intolerant, there's nothing for me to eat here :( If gluten free items aren't possible to make in house, partnering with another Pittsburgh business like Baked True North would be a good option. I know some other local cafes sell their gluten-free goods. However, I did enjoy Uptown's baked goods before my diagnosis, and I bet if the bakers made one or two gluten free options, they'd be delicious.
