We have been enjoying Chefs Hat for many years on all of our trips to Door County! On our most recent trip, this past weekend, we were surprised to find out that they offer breakfast! This place is pure culinary excellence! They take healthy food and make it so delicious, you walk away feeling like you ate something truly decadent but also ready for a long hike, because no stomach bloat…ha! Their fruit smoothies are a true treat and they have amazing gluten free options for those that need it! I have to say, my teenagers who don’t require gluten free definitely wanted my gluten free muffin that came with my meal! YUM!!
Step into a cozy, nostalgic atmosphere with eclectic decor and colorful flower gardens. The outdoor seating by a quaint water feature offers a relaxing setting, while the friendly, accommodating service ensures a comfortable experience for gluten-free diners.

Ate at Summer Kitchen again tonight, had their white fish dinner. Food was outstanding! My wife, Kay is celiac disease, so she is very gluten intolerant. She had no problems for the second time eating at Summer Kitchen. She also had the gluten-free chicken cilantro soup. She said it was delicious!Scott had their cherry pie for dessert. Unbelievable! It was so good! We highly recommend Summer kitchen!

This a really cool little place. The staff is super friendly and helpful and food is good. My wife had the potato waffle with creme fraiche (gluten-free, add smoked salmon) and I had the eggs benedict. Both were good. There's also a little area with chairs if you just want to read and have some coffee.

Trixie's is amazing! No reservations, so get there early. We arrived about 4:45 as they open at 5 and we were about 25th in line. They seat everyone they can and then put everyone else on a wait list and text you when it's your turn. We didn't make it into the first seating so we went to a local place for wine and beer. Dinner was amazing. Our waitress suggested wine pairings for us and they had dishes that were already, or were easily made gluten free. Everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere was amazing!! Highly recommended.
Cozy restaurant with gluten-free bread and knowledgeable celiac-friendly service, plus stunning sunset water views.

If I could give 20 stars I would! I have celiacs disease. This restaurant was extremely knowledgeable and went out of their way to make sure I was accommodated! Even offering cherry sorbet in place of cherry pie for dessert! Our server Deanna was probably one of the best servers I’ve had in a restaurant! The old post office is one of our favorite places to eat when we come to Door County! I can not recommend them enough! You will not regret this decision!!

Several people suggested this place to us saying they have the best homemade ice-cream, and it's been here a long time.
It has a 50's vibe and the ice-cream was really good. They stay pretty busy, but we went in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday, and didn't have to wait for inside seating.
They have some outside seating as well, and the area they are in has a little park with some seating too if you want to sit outside.
The only downside to this place is they aren't very flexible with their menu. We had lunch and ice-cream and my husband has to eat gluten free so we brought our own gluten free bun with us. The hostess asked us about it...which I found a little bit annoying. But overall it was a nice experience, and we would go back again.
