Recently had a vacation on Washington Island. We ate at several restaurants and this was the best.
There were two soups available one was vegetarian and another was vegan. My beer cheddar soup was stellar as was my pesto, blue cheese sandwich. The menu informs you as to what is vegetarian, what is vegan, and gluten free choices. You order at the counter and your food is brought to your table.
There is plenty of outdoor seating and it was a beautiful day. There were lawn games for the kids and for the adults.
Rock Island is across the water and adds to the ambiance to the place.
Sitting near the door I saw some very good looking desserts coming out.
If you're on the island I would highly recommend this place. Don't miss it!

My daughter has celiac disease and this restaurant offered multiple gluten free options and we felt completely safe eating the options. Great GF biscuits and fried chicken (doesn’t matter if you aren’t GF because they are so good!)

Wonderful coffee shop with beautiful grounds, plenty of seating, good coffee, tasty breakfast sandwiches, and the option for gluten-free bread. The green egg sandwich was delicious, and the optional ham was top notch. Don’t be intimidated by a long line, they process orders efficiently.
The best place to eat on the island. Food is amazing, service is outstanding and I'm picky and a pest. Our daughter has Celiac disease and eating out it's a challenge. Sue went above and beyond for us and our daughter had great food both nights and didn't get sick. I recommend this place all the way. The lobster tortellini is delicious, the ratatouille was excellent. Perch was very good, dessert so good that next time I'll have it first. Seriously a must go for anyone in Washington Island. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience 😊

This is a much belated review but didn't want to let it go as we so LOVED our meal here! We visited the Island in July of 2020 so the Hotel wasn't open for guests do to Covid restrictions, but chef Matt and his crew created a delicious dinner for my parents 50th anniversary to feed 18 people as a take out meal. He worked with me weeks in advance to go over options and dietary needs. We had a few gluten-free so he had many yummy options. We landed on many of their delicious salads, so fresh and delicious combinations, loved the gluten free beef dish and many pizzas. The homemade ice creams were delicious! What an amazing place to have such fresh local food. Must visit again!!!!
