We were only in St. Croix for a few days, but from what I can tell, this place is an absolute hidden gem. There was only one other table eating in the restaurant while we were there, which was actually great because the dining room is very small. Several people came in for take out while we were there, though.
The food here is absolutely amazing, and the portions are quite generous. None of us could have eaten another bite! Everything is gluten free and almost nothing has dairy. I had the chicken, which was absolutely delicious & cooked perfectly. The curried cabbage & the kale salad were also incredible (which is saying a lot because I absolutely despise kale... And then I found myself eating it off my husband's plate because it was so good!). Get the lentil balls. Don't question it. Just get them.
If we come back to St. Croix, this will be my first stop for dinner!!
Fantastic food and best painkiller (frozen) on the island! If you’re in search of quality food and good painkillers, this is the place.
Lots of gluten free, vegetarian and pescatarian options.
First off, owner was SO nice. Everything in there is gluten free except the waffle cones!!! They had a gf ice cream sandwich with sprinkles that i SO badly wanted to try but they were sold out!!! Definitely recommend.
I ate here twice on my trip and there are a couple gf menu items. I had the Margherita flatbread with gf crust both times (because it was that good) and was fine. Obviously just let server know you have an allergy, but the service was amazing each time. I’m newly diagnosed and have food anxiety and the waitress literally brought out the bottles of alcohol for me to see for peace of mind. Not to mention she was educated!!!!!
This is the best place on St John for someone who has to eat gluten free (celiac safe as well!)!! Wide variety of corn tortilla tacos (all of the taco options are gf), amazing ambience, and takeout is available. The staff is very knowledgeable about gluten free items and I found this was the safest place for me to eat so I kept going back. My family (not gluten free) also loved their food so we went multiple times. Thanks to the Lime Inn staff for providing a celiac safe meal!
Stopped here for pizza & my wife was pleasantly surprised to see gluten free options. She had the absolute & it was one of the best gluten-free pizzas she’s had.
The most AMAZING gluten free pizza I have had in a loooong time. The thin crust was so good and I couldn’t even tell that it was gluten free!! The toppings were so fresh and delicious. Definitely coming back again!!!!!
We took a boat shuttle out to the floating restaurant. Keep in mind if you do this, there is some swimming involved. Once at the restaurant, you can either sit at the floating bar on a stool, or pull yourself up on a floating "couch". The restaurant part of Lime Out is just for the employees. There were 6 of us and one of the "couches" held us all. The servers were very attentive and we had our cocktails floating over to us in no time. We tried many different varieties of tacos and they were all excellent. They easily accommodated my gluten allergy. The prices do seem a bit high, but the atmosphere is basically what you are paying for here as well as the food and drinks. We all had a great time.
This restaurant is an absolute gem with the most delicious, fresh, clean food, attentive service and whimsical ambience. We are really picky about eating fresh, clean food and have been here twice in 3 days. They use the freshest ingredients and the result is spectacular food.
The ambience is delightful with beautifully strung lights on a deck situated among the beautiful trees so that you feel like you’re in a treehouse.
Best restaurant seems very underrated to me, considering that I only found it when searching a gluten-free blog and several people who we met on the island had never heard of it. We will be back at least one more time before our vacation here is over.
