We were visiting Welshpool to meet up with family and came across the Raven Inn online a few days before coming. The website homepage is very dog friendly and then we were surprised at how many items were Gluten Free for one of our party. We had a corner table by the fireplace which suited us with the dog The menu was delicious, the desserts were yummy and even the dog had a menu too. The bar staff were friendly, one of the younger waiters was clearly new to the job as he took some plates away whilst others were eating and didn’t really engage with us. However we were really impressed and we will be back to this great establishment.

Nice clean hotel & room. Stayed for 5 nights and would definitely stay again. Comfy bed and restock of toiletries & tea/snacks. Staff always kept my room clean & tidy and bar/restaurant staff knew of my gluten allergy and were always happy to accommodate. I ate very well every night and the staff were always happy to help me in any way. Very polite & friendly staff.

Delicious selection of frozen cakes as usual, so hard to pick just a few but my freezer size stops me from getting one of each thank goodness 😆. Even though some of the cakes on offer are "seconds" or factory samples they are still a great deal with some at prices that are hard to believe 😳. The ones that are in the top quality freezers come at a slightly higher price but still a very good price. These products are perfect for family gatherings or celebrations as they are definitely sharing size , or you could just get out what you need and put the rest away as the majority of the cakes come precut, many of the products are vegan friendly, gluten free and cater to most dietary requirements, full ingredient information is on the packaging. They also supply sorbets, frozen fruits , gluten free crumble topping and dessert sauces always at amazing prices. I drive from a little over 45 minutes away and I'm never disappointed. Check opening times before setting off as the factory shop isn't open every day.

Great valentines day meal here! Considering the night the service was incredible! We had a starter and a main each and the portions were that generous we simply couldn't manage a pudding despite the menu looking amazing! Mentioned to the staff that I needed gluten free options and they were happy to adapt anything on the menu! It was so nice to have such choice! Will definitely return!

Always excellent , it's a pity that there aren't many Gluten Free options though! Still, it is a superb chippy.

We went to celebrate a family birthday, so we obviously took our own atmosphere! The food was excellent, and the staff was attentive but not in your face. Took our own birthday cake, which was discussed beforehand, and they provided plates and utensils. Within the group, we had a coeliac and another with food allergies, so it was not the easiest group to cater for, all done with no fuss, and everyone enjoyed their food! Couldn't have been more pleased with our visit. All of us said we'd definitely go again!

my daughter and I went one lunchtime and I could not fault the chap that served us. He was polite and eager to make sure we had a good visit. We both had the steak. The steak was cooked well and although rare.was not.tough to cut into. We enjoyed our visit and would come back again. My only disappointment was that the spicy burger was no longer on the gluten free menu.
