Had a gluten free breakfast which was massive, lovely sausages and a good amount of toast. I felt very safe once I explained I had coleiac and they ensured it was all cooked separately. My wife had the pancakes creme fraiche nuts and honey and she said they were cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend our coffee shop.
We went to the basset hound fir Xmas day dinner with my elderly, coeliac mum as I'd had over a decade of cooking Xmas lunch and wanted a break. Great food, really well prepared and spot in service despite it being absolutely crammed with people. We've been back quite a few times since and really enjoy it's relaxed atmosphere and great roasts. So much so we're going again today ❤️👍
Absolutely amazing. Went up to the top to order to take out, asked if they had any gluten-free options, and we were immediately accommodated with the chef coming out and personally scribbling out anything that wasn’t gf. The staff were all really lovely and chatty with us whilst we waited, and we had a drink whilst we were waiting too, as the vibe of the place was great. Super lively and fun! Partner and I both had gluten-free burgers, he had the salt and pepper chicken burger (something he has sorely missed since his coeliac diagnosis!) and I had a plain jane with cheese. Initially ordered mine as a normal non-gf burger, but was asked whether I wanted mine gf too as they’d be in the same bag so as to avoid cross-contamination, which I’m always more than happy to do and absolutely buzzing that we were offered and accommodated in that way! Got home, dished it all up and my god it was a feast. Super generous portions, well worth the price, and absolutely gorgeous. Can’t wait to come back with friends and family! ❤️

They have a great gluten free menu which has all been absolutely delicious and caused zero adverse reactions. A great atmosphere and all wonderful staff. They always warmly welcome us and our dogs. They even have doggie stations with treats blankets drinks ect. Indoor and outdoor seating. Our new favorite spot 😊
First time we've been, chorizo hash was recommended to me (I'm coeliac, so on a gluten-free diet), two words - bloody lovely!! My wife had brie, cranberry and bacon toastie, which she really enjoyed too. Plenty of choice food and drink wise, nice atmosphere, great food knowledge which was very reassuring for us. As Arnie (sort of) says, "we'll be back!"
Breakfast two days running as on short trip to Wirral. Excellent full breakfast first day though I would prefer tinned tomatoes. Also did a full Gluten Free breakfast for one of us. Good coffee. Great staff. Second day sausage and bacon sandwiches - lovely and another GF breakfast - no let down in quality. Service everyday was very good and patient with the dietary needs. Bottles of chilled tap water helped those with hangovers. Though we did not have a dog - the place is dog friendly - though well behaved dogs. Also near Chatwins if you need to pick some food for a trip and also a CoOp for essentials.
When we arrived the waiter asked us if we had eaten there before, we said no. The chef came out and talked us through the menu, the ingredients-all fresh, the differences between their Ceylon preparation to Indian, the flavours and the spiciness/heat. There appears to be a good range of dairy and gluten free, and vegetarian options.
We asked the chef to select a good mix of dishes for us and we did not regret it! Every dish tasted delicious and she took into consideration all of the preferences we had discussed.
The starters/bites were hot but the flavours were not lost. We loved the novelty (and the flavour) of the 'hoppers', we shared dishes and my partner liked the the Nasi Goreng Columbian style and I preferred the Roast chicken Kothtu.
Although it was a Tuesday night and there was only one other table, the atmosphere was good. We are looking forward to going again.... And again!
I had a superb breakfast in this gem of a Cafe Bar and Restaurant, set just back from the road. Even cater for gluten free and vegan, with fantastic array of cakes and fresh products. Bustling inside and superb professional and polite staff, super quick service. Top class - Recommended.
