I ordered the avocado toast and found it quite tasty. It had a Mexican-inspired twist, using guacamole as the spread. However, the spiciness wasn’t evenly distributed—I only noticed a kick after eating half of the bread. The biggest letdown, though, was the bacon bits. They tasted pre-packaged and didn’t stay on the toast well. My advice? Skip the bits and either use freshly cooked bacon slices or omit it altogether.
Additionally, I felt that using two slices of bread was a bit much. A single, larger piece of sourdough would allow for a prettier, more balanced presentation. I also ordered two eggs, prepared sunny-side up and cooked over-well, which complemented the toast exceptionally.
Overall, the service was fantastic! With a few tweaks, this avocado toast could go from good to outstanding. Mahalo!
