Loved our dinner here. Their menu is very vegan friendly and they also have gluten free options. Rose was our server and she was so nice and attentive. We had the dumplings, vermicelli noodle dish, veggie pad thai and the veggie pho + everything we ate was amazing and 10/10 recommend!! One of the best restaurants we’ve been to in all of Northwest Indiana and we will definitely be back!
Expect a hit-or-miss experience, with soft gluten-free buns praised but some service issues clouding the vibe.

The gluten free bun was very soft! It was an extra $2 i think. I also did NOT get glutened from the French fries but I imagine everyone has different tolerances.
A hidden gem worth the drive, serving mind-blowing homemade pasta and perfectly cooked dishes that will have you coming back for more.

Why isn’t this place absolutely slammed? We live 1.5 hours away. We were here on vacation, but my kids all want to just drive back here for their birthdays.
Their homemade gluten free pasta is mid-blowing good.
I had their special: a sweet potato and andouille sausage pasta that just about changed my life forever. Amazing. My wife had their lunch strip steak. Perfectly cooked.
We absolutely loved our experience. Our waiter, Daniel, did a great job.
Very friendly staff. Food is well prepared and respectable pricing. Will definitely be coming back. You have to try the pastrami. Also, they have gluten free bread.
Can someone please tell the manager to stop asking if everything is OK every 15 minutes? It really is annoying. If we need anything, we will ask the server. The servers are great and always get the order correct. Let them be social with the customers and chat about the weather if they want. They are always nervously looking over their shoulder like you are watching their every move like a mouse with a cat nearby. We are not going to complain if everything isn't great, because the food is just OK and we have been coming here for years. It isn't bad it is just ok, just like Christos, just like Memos, and it is affordable, and it is the same. This table checking has been going on since the current manager took over. Last manager was interesting, but he stayed at the register. It has become a family joke to see how long until you come to the table and how many times you will come to the table. Let the server come ask if we want dessert or something else. Here's something you can do: How about adding a gluten-free or vegan side menu? Plenty of people who need gluten-free options and vegan options other than a salad. Celiac disease is not a choice. That is a better place to put your energy. I-Hop and Sophias and Memos even offer gluten-free pancakes. Unfortunately, Sophias closes early and I-Hop isn't in town but we have been going to Memos a lot. When Chipotle opens, everyone with dietary restrictions is going to flood that place. Do research on celiac disease and how to make a few gluten free hot items for your menu.
Christo's needs to update their menu with gluten free options n other dietary restrictions that people have. Staff is great food is great just want to see them give these type of options.
Great atmosphere and attentive service create a memorable experience that makes you want to return again and again.

I was extremely happy with my visit at Drift on Pine. The atmosphere was great along with our food and drinks, but our server Marissa went above and beyond to make sure we were pleased, especially because I have a gluten allergy. Her diligence and hospitality was genuinely the best I’ve ever experienced while eating out. Poor service can absolutely have the potential to ruin a meal. I will absolutely be back as long as Marissa is my server. I’d absolutely recommend requesting her on your next visit as she really does set the standard for great table service.
