Absolutely a great experience. We ate there with a group of 11 and the food, atmosphere and service was fantastic. My wife has celiac disease and the staff walked her through all the many gluten free options. We will be back.
Solid options here for vegetarians, servers are friendly and helpful answering questions about dietary restrictions. I would not have chosen this place if a family member hadn't told me they had a vegetarian menu - I did not see any vegetarian menu on the website so I would have never known. They have a gluten-free menu as well.
For vegetarians, they have a solid list of options that often involve switching meat for mushrooms. The refried beans have lard, but you can get whole beans instead. I didn't think to ask this, but I'm assuming/hoping the rice does not have lard, since my vegetarian chimichanga had rice in it.
(For vegans - I asked and the guacamole is not made with sour cream, though I don't know if mushrooms/veggies are cooked in butter or oil)
Overall a great place for vegetarians (and probably vegans as well), especially for Newton!
GREAT selection of gluten free food, just wish they would put it all together instead of mixing it in, makes it hard to find and takes twice as long to shop
Great drinks, great gluten free options. As someone w celiac disease I personally have never had an issue here. Feel free to ask as many times as u need til u feel comfortable about their gluten free things, they are happy to answer. And are as careful as u need them to be.
Amazing place to eat and shop! Clearly marked gluten free items that are so good to eat! Look at this soup! There is also gluten free desserts! Just look at that gluten free donut!!! Very clean and friendly!
Always a good experience at this store. If your on a gluten free diet they carry a very good selection of Bons Red Mill products. Two sections of it in the backing isle.
Very clean store! Staff was professional. Food was awesome. Love the gluten free crust. My husband really enjoyed his pasta dish and cheesy bread!! Definitely will travel from Wichita just to eat here!!
