I made a beeline because I saw they had GF options for sandwiches. I have an egg allergy and gluten intolerance, so I ordered the GF sconuts (delicious!) and a Heirloom Tomato Turkey & Bacon on GF bread, without the aioli. I received the sconuts right away but was handed two incorrect sandwiches before they (after asking several times which sandwich I got) finally gave me the turkey sandwich, on the butt ends of the GF loaf … and no bacon.
After 30 minutes of waiting.
I shouldn’t have had to point them to the menu to understand the sandwich I was ordering. At no point did I ask for the breakfast croissant on gf bread, but was handed two of them :( could be first weekend jitters but it sucks to be the one in line watching everyone else get their correct order. Use caution if GF.
This spot offers a safe gluten-free experience with fries carefully prepared to avoid cross-contamination. Its affordable pricing and focus on doing one thing well make it a reliable choice for gluten-free visitors seeking tasty fair treats.

There is something to be said about doing just one thing. This is even more important when looking for Gluten-Free options and fries free from cross contamination. The fry is often overlooked as a side dish in the fast food world, but at the State Fair the it is a first class citizen. The name sets these fries here up a bit higher than perhaps they have achieved, but there is nothing wrong with being aspirational. 'Perfection' in a fry is also a very subjective thing. I had no issues getting to the bottom of this cup and had to fend off others from 'helping', but i will say I lean more on the crunchy side on fries and these tend to land squarely in the flacid category. That said, this is one of the more cost effective fry places at the fair. I've made it a staple of my visits.
