Dietary restriction customers beware, after an unpleasant encounter while ordering a sandwich with gluten free bread and specifying food allergy preparation versus preference, the employees working at the time ( 3 that I noticed) provided me conflicting information with how condiments and vegetables are stored and used, as well as the health safety protocol procedures for preparing allergy orders.
While the treatment I received from the employees was rude at best and I wouldn't rate a business location that I have been confidently and comfortably going to for many years over one bad customer experience, I feel that anyone considering ordering gluten free options out of necessity for food allergy should be aware that location has employees either untrained, unaware or unconcerned with following healthy safety protocols for minimizing cross-contamination.
After years as a gluten free customer, I have been fortunate enough to have not had an adverse reaction to gluten free options purchased at this location, however this recent experience has indicated this location can no longer be considered trustworthy for allergen food handling protocols. I will note this location has been reviewed and has a 5 star rating by other gluten free customers on FindMeGlutenFree, and until my experience last night, I would have agreed with that rating and had recommended this location previously.
I'm hardly in Chardon but was visiting someone & had to stop here. They clearly offer gluten free food, and had the BEST coffee mocha I have ever had! Double win! Plus I was able to buy some delicious truffles as a gift. Triple win!
I just love this place! The food was so good. I give this place 10 out of ten. I had the Lemon Chicken with Marsala Mushrooms, oh my, so yummy. My wife had a Salmon BLT wife Onion Rings, she really loved. The portions are large, so plan on taking a box or two home. Our waitress, Malarie, was also great, friendly and succinct, did a real good job. Such a cool place to eat. Have Gluten Free options also.
Wow! Amazing Food! If you want authentic Italian with incredible flavors, this is your place! I'm gluten free and I can't believe how amazing the GF pasta is! And it's not penne! It's a long noodle! So refreshing!
Great selections of spectacular apples, fresh vegetables, frozen bulk fruits and meats, wide selection of cider, apple butter, jams, jellies, preserved fruits and vegetables, gluten free mixes, honey, Fowler Mills mixes, Rowdy Cow products, caramel apples, caramel and maple popcorn, fresh peanut butter, pumpkins, mums…and more. Try their other enterprise, Ransome Sage Farm, too. Ben Sage and family make everyone welcome like family!
1st time here and it was amazing. Our server Brenda was knowledgeable about the menu and answered all our questions. The chefs accommodated my friends gluten and dairy allergies, she said it was the best sushi she's ever had. We will definitely be back!
Passing through and looking for our Go To Mexican lunch because of my wife and son's Celiac restrictions. This was superb, best salsa I ever had and they make it there. Took home enough for lunch tomorrow! If we ever get back this way we'll be back.
